EZ Server

After some discussions, we wanted to create this thread to allow users of http://www.ezserverwiki.com/ to provide feedback, suggestions, corrections, etc on the community Wiki.  It is currently accessible via the link to the left, Darpey's EZ Wiki.

Everyone is encouraged to sign up (http://ezserverwiki.com/Special:RequestAccount) and contribute as there is always room for improvement and content to be filled in.

Things that need work

1. Blank articles were created for all NPC's of importance, and are mostly missing (e.g. Fighter's Guild (http://www.ezserverwiki.com/Fighter%27s_Guild_Quest) bosses, Zone (http://www.ezserverwiki.com/Zones) special mobs... especially Abyss (http://www.ezserverwiki.com/Abyss))
These pages just need picture of the mob, short description, and a link back to the zone or quest related to the npc.

2. Guides (http://www.ezserverwiki.com/Guides) page has only 2 unique guides... if you have any guides, feel free to add them - the writing style in these is MUCH less formal than the rest of the wiki... know an easy way to make plat? make a guide! Know a way to level 1-70 quickly? make a guide!!! etc...

3. Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.ezserverwiki.com/Frequently_Asked_Questions) is still in very early stage... only includes 9 questions.

On the FAQ page, anytime someone is reading OOC and gets annoyed by a question that's been answered before, make sure its on the FAQ, I know people don't read things, but once they find out a resource has answers they need, they are likely to go back to it.

Guildie noticed the other day that the Casters guild information is wrong on the Wiki. The Oracles robe is not on the list. The FBR says it drops from the oracle in OOT. The FBR drops from Najena.

Valid concern. I could see very good arguments for either side. I would agree with both arguments.

I just applied for an account under the name Noot.  I've been working on a YouTube series called EZServerHowTo for the past 5 months that I won't start uploading content for at least a few more weeks.

I've also remade a bunch of maps that are EZ branded and faux HD.  Since I saw you were looking for LDON maps I thought I would jump the gun and contribute them to the Wiki prior to the official launch of the channel.

The map looks really great. Please make any changes you see fit to the wiki. Also, don't hesitate to change any of the existing maps to this pretty version. Most of them were just plagiarized from other places online... or slightly modified plagiarizations.

I think you are also missing the hidden area of 5, but its still an awesome looking map.

I fixed LDON3 on the Wiki.  I appreciate the attention to detail.  I always keep my raw files to make adjustments as needed.  I'm not sure about a hidden area in LDON 5.  If you can point it out I'll gladly review it.

I started making maps because I needed higher res for the videos, so I only hit PoTime and LDON, but once I finish my current video project I'll upload the 5 or so videos that I have finished, and switch gears to map making for awhile.  I've been slowly working on them since March, so it will be nice for a change of pace.

In the room with the gray bridge area there is a secret door under the bridge you can click that leads to path to another room, has a couple frogloks in it.

Rather than PM each administrator individually, because I'm lazy - any of you remember how to add extensions?

This Extension (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:EmbedVideo) would allow you to imbed YouTube videos (EZ How To Series (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpVUtYa2ZQXITPtCXUr4B1g)) - instead of just linking to them. I think Arthon has FTP access... I've just forgotten how to do it, and am pressed on time.

ALSO, and this might be important.

Hateborne is taking over the hosting of ezserverwiki.com - - - the "transfer" has already been requested, and the domain expires October 10th from godaddy.com - My assumption is that this will be painless, but keep a lookout for any oddities that happen on this day. There may also be minutes/hours of downtime while this occurs. IDK

Basically, it'll be down for less than 48h as it gets moved over to the hosting bits on my side. All the access will stay the same, Darpey will still have highest admin access, and the site url will stay the same. :-)

I misspoke - the hosting expires on the 18th of October, not the 10th, so that is when it will fail and move over to Hate's hosting

Sorry it took me so long, had a hard time motivating myself to spawn all of them. I should get 6, 7 and maybe 8 done before halloween, but I also want to get a few more ranks done on my warriors UW.

Big thanks to Leis for completing that list, and for letting me assist by being a parasite.  Those pulls were truely terrifying.

Thanks. I only see issues getting pictures of the mini's in 6, and zerka. The mini's will be a pain just because I might need to kill one mob at a time to get a picture of them without 30 mobs in the way. Or take off my aoe dps so I can single down everything else.

Heads up - Godaddy hosting expires tomorrow (10/18) - so expect to see wiki downtime, depending on how exactly the change-over happens. Any changes you make between yesterday and tomorrow will not be kept (Hateborne made a site backup yesterday, which he will use to reproduce the account on his end)

Also - new user Kroggia that applied yesterday - I accepted your account request, but you will probably have to re-apply when the site goes back up on Monday or Tuesday, since the backup process will (probably) wipe your account.

Just let me know when the transfer is completed. Someone added stone droppers to my to do list... I might stop progress till halloween is over, I need to make the most of that dbl loot.

Most of you that edit the wiki do a great job formatting, but if you attempt this article and don't know formatting, don't worry, one of the other editors will come in and clean up. Back waaay before the mask of the illusionist, I remember having to turn in two vah shir illusions (actual illusions not cards) in order to start swapping it again for another illusion (every other illusion was 1:1..vah shir was 2:1).

I don't have any know-about about this anymore, or how it works as its been ~5ish years since I tinkered with illusions outside of the mask...but even then I can't seem to see more than the same like 6 illusions on that heh. -shrug-

I corrected up to T5. For T6 and up, I corrected what I can with limited knowledge/access. Will fix the rest later as I progress unless someone else beat me to it.

Also T7 Sloth need picture.

Found one, I thought it was just Rent's senior picture from high school but noticed it's a superman shirt and not wonder woman.

Chaos isn't tethered/rooted anymore?

He's leashed to the room, but not permarooted. Just like Balrog.

Probably other bosses in 2nd to 5th floors as well, never really bother to find out.

Tethered would be better word choice for them tho. Permarooted implied that they're rooted to one spot while Tethered implied that they're chained to the room.

I'll adjust this.

I see that the ancient sand monster no longer drops the completed epic 3.0

How DO you get the completed 3.0 now then?

 i haven't done 3.0 quest in a while, but i believe you get it when the 15 token quest is completed

The Qvic token quest reward you with completed 3.0 book. I corrected it.

* Complete the [[QVic]] token quest to get your Complete Epic Book 3.0.

Also you can just hail the Qvic quest guy to get another copy of 3.0 book as well.

While we're on wiki corrections... It appears the maps from mapfiend.net are gone. Anyone care to verify and possibly toss them on Google Drive as a mirror?

Just doing what I can to help and turned out I'm having fun maintaining the wiki.

Yeah it's fun :) It was like a (fun) job for the first 2 months of its existence. Writing many of the new articles, and helping the evolution of its structure.

I think it needs maintenance more than large edits now, people to keep up with our ever evolving server as changes get implemented. I know I still have to finish up T7, but that should be about it for missing content.

Yeah, I check and see where I can clean up the format/layout/etc while I'm at work.

Also I'm planning to work on the T7 page once I get my crew there. However additional helps are always welcoming!

Just a thought, there is some very solid and usefull UI mods (inv, Bank, ect.) going around the boards. The information and links could be something of value on the Wiki.

I just went to the first two threads I could find about UI's on EZServer (out of the MANY) and threw them on the page

It's not organized at all, and there are only two included on the page. But it's a start.

Also - in the "Installing User Interfaces" section, I was going from memory, and using my titanium install for reference O.o so... that might need updating.

That could potentially be a very useful hub for all of the skin mods on EZServer.

I don't know how it would be best categorized, by user? By category or improvement? I'm not sure, I'll let you all wiki editors figure that out, and scour the forums for download links and pictures.

There been some updates since then.

• Cleaned up the formats due the updated software breaking the old formats
• Tidy up several pages for better appearances
• Added couple more User Interface Mods
• Updated majority of Expedition pages
• Updated MacroQuest page to include Bard's epic twisting
• Cleaned up EoN bosses pages and added new tip for Guardian of the Seal
• Added level requirement to Ring of the Ages charts
• Added Exp Buff level requirement to Mask of Experience page

I'm looking for the "AA per Rank" on Mask of Experience Rank 401 and above.

Blackburrow pages still need work, don't have access to the expedition to update it.

Loping Plains still need to wrap up with Stone Droppers.

As usual, report if there is any outdated, error, and/or new information and we'll update accordingly!
