when double loot is enabled drops perk up but using double and triple loot instances don't seem to do anything anymore, broken ?

that is by design, to ensure that double loot is just 2x, not 2x2x3x etc, etc.

I understand when double loot is turned on they don't multiply but when using the doubles and triples when its not on they really don't seem to do much at all except the armor pieces was just wondering if the rest of it was overlooked.  Just throwing it out there maybe a bug ?

Double loot essentially means every mob drops what two mobs would drop ordinarily under regular loot. If there is a 100% chance something will drop, then you will get two of them. If something had a 50% chance of dropping ordinarily, then there's a 25% chance of getting two. If something had a 10% chance of dropping, then there would be a 1% chance of getting two. But overall you'll get twice the loot in the long-run on average.

I may not be exactly right, but I think that's the gist.

Offering up some anecdotal evidence in my observations in killing mobs in T10, take it for what you will.

There are 469 base pop mobs in T10.  When I'm hitting it hard, I pull and kill ~350 mobs per basepop.
With no loot modifiers on, there will be 20ish corpses to loot.
When burning a double loot instance or during double loot weekends, there will be 40ish mobs to loot.
When using a triple loot instance, there will be 60ish mobs to loot.

When I'm doing T10, I pull, clear, loot and repop and rinse/repeat as long as the instance has time on it or I can sustain concentration.  These numbers seem to be consistent and there doesn't seem to be much variance in the amount of corpse I get to loot...it's consistently supporting the loot modifier against no loot modifier.  Again, if anyone has other information with substantive numbers to provide it could shed light on your concerns, but nothing provided in this post is based off of speculation or gut feelings.

For what it's worth, this is totally disregarding any named mobs that happen to spawn and get killed, this is specific to the trash mobs' corpses in camp that are there when I finish killing the pull.

Just think of it like rolling dice for each item. If an item has a 1:20 chance to drop you would normally roll a d20 and everytime you got a natural 20 the item drops. On double loot you roll the die twice and have two chances to roll that 20. It doesn’t mean if you roll a 20 you get two of those items.
