Life has been crazy and decided to come back to playing. located all my accounts and passwords reset. I had to create new account for the boards. Reloaded everything to notice the server has been down and not on the server list. Not sure if I have something setup wrong or server actually down (I did change eqhost file and see all the other servers). Just looking for some good old fun and relax my mind away from the ICU. Server is still up though, even though it's status is often listed as offline.
[LoginServer] Host=login.projecteq.net:5999 Here is the correct line for eqhosts.txt. You will find EZ Server up and running in the server list when you log in. The fact that EZ Server is more often than not listed as offline is something that has worried be for a long time. It has a negative effect for the server, no doubt. Possible returning players may think the server is gone. New potential players may not look twice and so on. As I understand though, fixing this problem is out of both Draca and Akkadius hands, which is unfortunate indeed. If not for this site remaining active, I would never have known EZ still existed.
Nothing to be done about this I suppose, but Sarthin is correct when he says we lose or miss players because we don't show up on the active server list. I have contacted other former players to let them know I am back and they also thought the server was down for extended time. Once it's loaded on EQEmu's site, it should stay there, so I will reset the server tonight and get it loaded, and if anyone sees it down again, please let me know.
