Title: Starting T10
Post by: Kwai on April 19, 2022, 08:36:01 pm
Are there any ... "gee, I wish I had known that when I started" tips for T10.

Not looking for spoilers, just QOL tips.  Do, don't do ... look out for ... kinda things.

For instance :

If a portal pops, do you jump in with your whole crew, or is that a "do later" thing?

Can I park a flopped Necro at camp to hold the zone in case of wipe and have him get credit for kills, or it it like T9 where you have to hit the mob?

I plan on being there for months (18 toons) so I will eventually figure it out, but all my old guildies are gone so I have no one to ask questions of and maybe save a wasted day.  Any advice would be very welcome.

Thanks

Bronc/Dokk

Don't step on goops, don't turn your back on gnoll assassins and goblin marauders... Helps to have an insta cure clicky as well because the necro pb's are way OP with their dot.

Regarding portals, couldn't tell you, never ran them due to the 1/1000 chance to spawn sharpclaw, even then he might not even have the soul on him ... he can spawn from killing ro'kki and little jaughn now so that's a bonus...

Any other questions don't hesitate to holler in game, or join the discord as well for more help :)

I would actually try and trade for the group cure spells from veeshans peak which would allow you to cure the necro dots. Many players have a surplus of reagents and I think you can learn the spells at 78?

That's a good point, I forgot about those :D You have to be 79 to learn them though according to the actual spell...

Start all characters on the same faction first. Most of us went Orc

The old-schoolers started with gnolls then orcs. Gnolls are much easier to break into than orcs. I recommend Having your shield maxed out and ear on the main tank. Pull a lot of mobs at once so you can use your discs to do the max damage. Be careful of assassins. If they hit you in the back you die fast.
You can combo gloves and savage onslaught, use your repost from glasses, use your furious disc, not necessarily in that order... I usually start with glasses.
Make sure to assist damage with your crew anytime after your war has all mobs together has got the enemies down at least like 60% or more depending...I usually waited till most were dead. Your crew is really there more for cleanup than main group DPS. Necros can be used earlier, but can be summoned and destroyed. BTW if you don't have a necro with max neck and death spell line, look into it. Pretty cheap to build and great for helping with T10 DPS.
