Ok looking at the ammount of money on the server and ways of reducing it
my suggestion is to update the lotto bot to give item rewards over plat
hand in 1mill plat and get an item in return. items depending on value and thus rareity

Stone of Impatience    100k         0.35
Qvic                          500k         0.06
Cazic thule                 500k         0.06
Dragons minor           1000k      0.04
Dragons Major           1000k      0.04
Gods Minor                1000k      0.04
Gods Major                1000k      0.03
Abyss                        1000k      0.03
Anguish                     200k         0.15
Lopingplanes              1000k      0.04
Temple of Veeshan     1500k      0.02
Old Commons            2000k      0.02
Sunderock                  4000k      0.01
Essence of Norath      10000k      0.005
SLS                          500k         0.06
GSoA                        30000k      0.005
Glowing Sun Shard    60000k      0.0005
Ez credits 1               2000k      0.02
Ez credits 5               4000k      0.01

value worked out to rolls / rareity

weighed to so that Stone of Impatience is a 35 persent chance of winning thats almost 1 in 3
and a Glowing sun shard being 0.05 persent chance thats 1 in 2000.

and yess they dont add up to 100 persent its just a work in progress and as an idea that can of corse be modified.

I want to make it clear at the outset that I think it's a great idea to brainstorm about ways to fix the economy by bleeding plat out of it so I applaud this post.

I do see a few issues with this specific approach though.

1. You've applied a value to the items in your potential rewards list, this value is more of a snapshot of the current estimated values of items in the economy now.  The problem with this is that as more plat enters the game/economy, the higher these prices will rise so the corresponding amounts would need to be dynamic.
2. Once you assign a price to something, you basically established the baseline for it.  That means if I have a lot of that item and a motivated buyer for it, all I have to do is undercut the selling price enough to convince the buyer to get it from me, this will drop the corresponding item's value in the economy and bleed less plat out of it.
3. Having an option for people with nothing else to burn plat on is good, but I don't think I would bother playing games of chance with my plat knowing I can just overpay the shit out of an item I really want, since I'll easily farm the plat back anyhow because I have nothing else to spend it on.

Just some quick feedback and critiques, though as I said I believe initiating dialog on this idea has a lot of merit.

I like the idea of spending platinum on something like an instance. How about a rather expensive expedition (maybe with a lockout timer) that you can pay to enter. It can be an existing zone, but with loot tables changed to suit the end game players in most part? I figure those are the ones that have the most plat to burn anyway. I'm thinking the zone/expedition loot tables can contain some, if not all the items that have been proposed by OP.

This is a good idea as well...Just make it so that no plat drops in the paid fpor zones....like halloween....HOLY CRAP make halloween event purchasable that will bleed a CRAP TON of plat from the server...maybe only good for 12 hours then have a 24 hour lockout or something....100,000,000 buy in for 12 hours

That would bring in some players that "retire" between halloween events, for sure.

Some good ideas here. Hopefully we can look into things of this nature when things settle down more for Akkadious and myself.

Another option to burn even more plat could be an option pay a large extra sum in addition to entry fee, to make that expedition double loot.
