getting "an unknown error has occured while attempting to join the server" message when trying to log into EZ from server select screen...

i can login to other servers with no issue just not EZ  Cry



fixed it by copying the eqhost file again

If you read the threads on emu forums there is a slight issue atm.
Take a day off and do something fun, like stab a gnumez

I'd have the same error on one or two of my boxes. Quitting EQ and restarting fixed it about half the time.

Yeah same, seems like they prevent you from logging in too many chars at once now, suck ass for boxers.  We can thank some spammers at P99 for this I guess...

This is not a feature, this is a bug.

See the thread at http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=32733&page=2 to see some of the server owners and rogean / trevius working over it.  Appears to be affecting more than a few servers - basically any server that is not hosted in the same datacenter as the eqemulator login server.

Since Hunter did not do a source update lately and this just started happening, I doubt there is anything he can do to fix this.

Pure login server issue.

To see all the servers effected, start refreshing http://www.eqemulator.org/index.php?pageid=serverlist - you will see a group of servers constantly showing between "down", "Pending", "Up", "down", etc.

ah ok, someone said P99 players were DDosing the LS because they were mad someone KS their orc pawn or so.. Smiley

Im getting this right now. Ive repasted the data into my eqlogin file, restarted EQ, restarted my PC, and still can not get past the server list. I see the servers and their populations. But I cannot get into any at all. Unknown error.
