Custom Map Window

Posted on left side of forums a link to custom map window someone gave me.

Making it available here for everyone else to use too:

Has very few buttons, likc "C" Button for Center yourself on map, etc.

So small, makes a great radar type window to keep up all the time!

You can see the pic below, and the size of it compared to the spell gems:

Make a copy of your <your install path>uifiles\default\EQUI_MapViewWnd.xml file
Load the attached file into uifiles\default
Completely shutdown client and restart

One thing you can do if you don't want to lose your original ui files is make a new directory in uifiles, then load that as a custom ui. It will load any files that are in that directory but any that aren't it will load from the default directory.

That is what I do, so my default folder is always original and works.

can someone post the in-game-command to load the new ui?
this looks kinda nice will wan to try it.

But using hunters way will list all available UI's in a pop up window

Might I add another suggestion. Make Q your map keybind. Makes life so much easier, especially when you need to spam map for places like The Abyss, in which a minimap is a nightmare. By using Q its very simple to open Map window and close it.

E for attack
Q for map

always makes MMORPGs easier, just cant strafe.

Made a small mod to this, as was missing a couple of things i use
also moved buttons to side edge, to make clearer, so it is slightly bigger, but not much )
