I have not played in years so I am not going to pretend to know what goes on with the economy now-a-days, but it was mentioned that the economy has been broken since UW. I think what has been broken about the economy is that Hunter did not have the time or patience to hunt down everyone who was botting or exploiting. He relied a lot on others on the server to expose those who were. A lot of people flew under the radar by keeping their botting minor and avoiding exploits. Hunter knew about it and frankly did not care about it. Hunter's way of combating that was making things no trade and more rare. Making things no trade prevents encouraging people to bot to collect items to sell to others. He knew you couldn't just make everything no trade because then you stifle the economy all together. He tried to find the right balance but he was catering to two different types of players. Those who bot and those who don't. Those who don't are at a serious disadvantage because they have to play all the more hours.

The server has changed because of new ownership. If things on the forums are to be believed stopping botters has become more of a priority. As a result rarity also needs to change and possibly even some of the no trade tags.

As I mentioned I have not played in years. I know I can't know even a small amount of what goes on with the server economy right now. If changes have already been made to match the changes in getting rid of botters then disregard. If not then maybe dropping the no trade tag and adjusting rarity might be in order. As for the rules regarding shared accounts, you know the risks when you share your accounts. If a change like removing no trade was to happen I would think it would be a good idea to making an advance notice to give people the opportunity to change their passwords.

If anyone, even Hate or Akk had insulted Hunter the way Peign has continually insulted Hate they would have been banned with the quickness. That was one of the quickest ways to get banned with Hunter. Got something bad you want to say about Hunter? You can do it, but do it respectfully and certainly don't be a dick about it. And Hunter extended that to other devs as well, and even players at times if someone got too carried away on the forums. Granted yes, this is not Hunter's playground anymore I am still glad to see Hate pull out some Hunter rules, (especially the don't be a dick rule) and enforce them in Hunter fashion.

And the bs about some people just having no filter, it is exactly that, bs. Peign was the way he was because he was allowed to continue to be that way. He has received warning and now his banning is a warning to others. You can criticize, but there are limits about the way you criticize.

I remember talking to Hunter once about some psychotic drama that I was in the middle of and all kinds of people around me got banned but I didn't. I always attributed it to the fact that while I was critical of the situation I never insulted Hunter. I remember telling Hunter the way I looked at it was you don't sit at a mans dinner table while eating food he has served you and say, 'Dude this shit tastes awful. What kind of cook are you?' If you want to say something like that you wait till you're on your way out the door. He laughed about that.

Peign was a jerk and was toxic for the server. Sure he had a few friends but hell, even the protagonist in the 'psychotic drama' had a few friends as have several other douches who have been banned. However when the majority of the server has a problem with one person then that one person has a problem with the majority of the server.

I've donated to the server so what?   Do you think servers just run magically on magic socialist dollars?   Maybe in your progressive porn watching world but not in the real world son.  Yes I have my degree, make money, and enjoy spending money on my hobbies, again so what?      In addition I've debugged code, fixed spells (fixed the T8 aoe yeah), and have done other things for Hunter.     I've not donated since last year and may not again cause pay pal can suck it, so /shrug.

That being said, I farmed my UWX for my ranger.   I've not bought 1 single essence with creds.  Also UWX on 2 wars and UWIV on gimp SK.    7 UC3s, EOA 33, RoA 1000, RoA 500 on most of my 18 toons.   Yes, my epeen is big and no, even though I know you want to, you cannot suck it. 

I take 6 month breaks and catch up to your scrub arse.       

Did your 500% xp item magically appear?   You donated either time or money for that too.   

Why don't you, Dimurwar and Xiggie all give eachother Pterodactyls.   I'm sure if you use your oral skills on Xiggie he will hook you up with some more macros to help you farm up the rest of your UWs.   Better yet, why don't you twitch some more while using MQ2Doors.

Part of what is so great about EZ is the content that used to steam role me I can now go back to and steam role. Hunter figured that out a long time ago and continued on making new zones that was a bitch to break but once you get 2 zones pass that zone it became trivial. It is that formula that made EZ skyrocket with the population. Sure zones get tweaked and toned down after a while, but guess what? That is part of Hunter's formula too. He has been doing that since I started this server when Ldon was the end zone. He'd release a zone and use his GM hide and laugh his ass off watching people try to break into the zone. After a couple of days he would tweak the zone to be a little more doable and leave it that way for a few months. Once he started looking at the new zone he would look to see where people were at in content and if he saw people not really getting a zone he would tweak it again to get the non hardcore players up to par. He did that anywhere from half way to releasing the new zone or a couple of months after its release. This is the way things have been done since the max population was 32 and I think Hate really gets that.

Fix the ring quest and tweak it a little bit to make the difficulty appropriate. Add items to the drop list like exp tokens, ring upgrades, maybe a double loot clicky with limited clicks. Maybe even donation rewards. If you can have different versions that increase in difficulty you could increase/decrease the drop rate. Flag each toon that does the quest so they can't do it again for 24 hours or so. Each toon that goes in to do the quest, whether they start it or just tag along gets flagged so they can't repeat it till the allotted time is up. You could even have it in various zones.

Introduce legendary bosses with legendary drops. The drops would be legendary versions of the drops from the regular mobs. The legendary versions would have stats increased by 15 or 25%.

Word of advice. Delete this thread. With it your reputation is toast. You may think reputation doesn't matter but here in a small community it matters a lot. Just delete the whole thing and don't post for a while in hopes that people forget about this.
