So I go through the pain in the ass CG quest, only to find out that the Master Ring not only has no pet for Wizards (understandable, since we are not a pet class), but it cannot even be equipped for the stats! WTF is that all about?
I remember feeling no love for Wizards back on live, but I guess it is the same anywhere. Pure casters get screwed, pet classes do better, pure melee...hey, whatever you want.
Sorry, but I am just a bit pissed right now. I would not have even wasted the time on the CG quest if I had known I would not get any use out of the ring.
Luckily, I got my 2.0 while I was in LDON...oh, wait...that weapon pretty much sucks too, while my Nec buddy gets a pet that chews through everything like a buzzsaw. That makes sense.

lol calm down.

there are much better rings you can wear starting in PoD

you HAVE to join one of the guilds to progress to epic 2.5 and beyond.

you also get over-capped and maxed casting skills... and a better manastone which for a wizard you will need.

no you can't use the pet, BFD.  if you join the CG you can use your familiar to get free buffs from, any time.

wizards are fine.

Well at upper lvl's the wizzy does do pretty good for itself and i have no complaints. They are harder to lvl that is true but worth it as a DPS class.

harder to level? nah not really..

lv 1-47 shaman buff + druid DS & regen - 15-20 mins
lv 47-70 group with warrior in pofire - 10-15 mins
and, done.

um, ok?

yeah everyone complains but I did one the other day in about 40 minutes and I wasn't even trying.

I used to do a ROA in about 25-30 minutes and that wasn't trying to break records either.

so it's a bit longer? yeah but not much.

keep in mind too that a year ago we only had 3.0 and T2. (no 25k shaman buff, no 4.0 warrior 250k hp+ and 6x angers) so in one respect it's easier, even if the XP bonus is lower.
