Do any other SK's find it disheartening that a bard which is not a pet class can use the casters guild ring when a SK and a cleric can't?  Especially clerics so they can have the mana/regen, but SK is a pet class, it adds to our dps, bards do not get a pet why can they use this.  Also I would like to see a SK AE lifetap on the 3.0 scale back the amount that it heals for and add in an AE effect.  That way in zones like qvic where the bosses spawn multiple adds during the fight we can continue to keep agro and kill the mobs simular to the effect of a warrior.

Bards were added to the caster guild ring when they lost charm. for clerics you can still get your buffs from the level 54 pet that still works. honestly when i box my cleric i actually would find a pet more irritating than helpful. i have way to much going on with my WAR/BST to remember what in the world my cleric pet would be doing. Although i admit it must suck if you single box a cleric.

I hear ya on this one Merc....I just got an SK to 70 and realized that the caster ring does not work for her.  Both Bard and Druid get the pet because charm is no longer available.

I guess its because SK and Paladins (non-pet class) are hybrids.  Let the SK have a really good pet and the some Paladins might get their lacey unmentionables in a knot  Tongue

/looks around for Uxt to bonk her in the head

In honesty Paladins did get the nerf stick hard and it wouldn't be fair.

Paladin = nerfed warrior with band aids. I played a pally on live as my main when I first started up. It was very disheartening to find out my character was a perpetual newby. No disrespect to those who choose to play the class though. It takes more effort to play a pally than other role specific classes.
