the stats are fine on 3.5 imho- the proc/clickies are the same as 3.0's tho.  I think it's alright tbh
It's more of a stepping stone towards 4.0, which is and has been achievable with nothing but 3.0 toons.

What im saying is the 3.5 being a stepping stone is a time sink.
If you had a choice, gear up all your toons and skip 3.5 and hit the 4.0's you likely would.
If you have 2-3 groups to gear up for 3.5's the timesink is insane, and the rewards are hardly worth the effort.

As much as I like Lexington, I have to disagree...and completely agree with ieawenpo.  Almost every 3.5 is not worth the effort involved. For dps, maybe. But warrior is just a base damage increase, cleric is a 1hb that just gives some extra hp and mana and a click that will hardly ever get used. Pally dormant proc anything different.

To make it worth it, warrior should give either epic stonewall or a 3rd aug slot...both are on 4.0, but 3.5 should have half that to make it worth the effort. Cleric 1hb is fine, but it should have some increased healing effect. The amount of effort to get the pages and kill Shadow is not worth the "upgrade" except for pure dps where base weapon damage actually comes into play (monk, ranger, rogue).

Lets put it this way.

If we didnt have 4.0's in the game right now and hunter said "Hey guys, I made the 3.5's, here they are". I seriously doubt we would see such gimp items, keeping in mind what level of stats the 4.0's are to have.

well the point of it is, they are better than the 3.0's not much but they're better, lets look at the 1.0 thru 2.5's
they're weak as hell too, and are much weaker than the 3.0. Also those are a timesink as well, granted not as much if ppl already have a 3.0, but 3.5 isn't that bad either if ppl have 4.0's already. That's all I'm saying

And for those that didn't buy the 4.0?  The 3.5 is a huge timesink (4 hour spawn on Shadow), with little improvement in the weapon.

100k instance and hes up for you 6 times a day, belly up the cash guys.  I know its tougher than shit to get the money going but Ive had to do it to be in myown instance everyday.

To my point on the 3.5's being crap, look at the war's, although I havent got the time to look at them all.



DMG is about right but once you factor in the extra aug slot, the DMG in the 3.5 should be closer to 125
DLY is about right.
HP is a joke. 3.5 should be closer to 5000
AC is about right
Regen is about right.

2x4.0's on a warrior is a massive 25k HP increase over the 3.0's
2x3.5's on a warrior is a laughable 500hp increase  

I can only assume that the rest of the 3.5's and 4.0 are similarly progressed.

I'm actually so disillusioned with the 3.5s I wish I could just go straight for 4.0s. Minor stat increase no proc increases for serious time investement.

FG/CG provides a huge increase in ability with maxing skills over normal caps. Additionally you get access to very beneficially items such as the rez stone, improved mana stone, masters ring, anger augs, and stat/regen food. In addition to getting 2.5s which are often a large step up from 2.0s. Oh yeah and the buff bot and pet weapons.

Honestly,
The upgrade to a 3.5 is NOT worth the time sink.

Ways to fix this can be small.

Shadow does not need to be that long of a fight (period) He is easy but make a change to his hitpoints cut them in half and also reduce his spawn time to 2 hours.

Up the page drop just a tiny bit not much just a small amount.

I've done my warrior's, I got my pally's 3.5 last night.. and was completely sad with the end results of the amount of farming (timesink) that went into it just for  HPs, 10DMG, and 250REGEN. (and no proc changes)

I feel with the above mentioned Shadow changes alone will make it a little more worthwhile to get.

 

I do agree it is a stepping stone, so I'm taking that away from above posters.
The time involved is the problem.

em.. i dont see the epic vendor mentioning anything about the 3.5? even to my characters with 3.0...

i simply hail him and dont get 3.5 as an option...

No, he just doesn't mention 3.5 or 4.0. 
Get the pages from Avatars in HoH, combine them in the 3.5 book you get from Shadow in HoH. That makes a complete 3.5 book.  Turn that book plus 3.0 epic in to guy to get back 3.5 epic.

4.0 is a completed book that drops from MCP in Air.
