Since we have leaderboards, maybe a composite could be calculated every reboot to determine the topmost player which then gives that player a special broadcast every time they log on, much like Fugitive's honorary troll broadcast.  Not sure if it would work here since we have a relatively small player base, but on other games, such broadcasts created additional competition at the top.

For example:  "Norrath's greatest <class>, <player>, has just logged in!"

Anyone that actually wants to know this can hail the leaderboard npc, I don't think it's going to motivate anyone to feel competitive any more than looking at the leaderboard stats that already exist.

I spent years on live competing against other players for top hps, ac, etc. Done with that. I play for me now, and the people I feel like helping. If I want to measure myself against other players now I do it by height, or by the amount of time I spend with my family, or by where I go for vacation.
