Interesting assertion, however it is false.   I have 15 toons finished with T10,  7 UWs,  15 UC3s, 28 toons flagged for T10 (24 actively in T10) and I do not play anymore.  Feel free to Magelo Red Horse if you are bored.  Never wanted anything handed to me.  Many who have quit have gear equivalent to that or more, Harthek for example has 24 UC3s.  

Sorry if my post wasn't clear, I was agreeing that T10 is not in line with the server and how people play here.  There are a clear vocal group that enjoy it and like to accuse people who speak out against of simply wanting things handed to them. 

Obviously, I failed in my sarcasm, I'll try harder next time.

I've seen many players drop off the server, maybe due to T10, maybe due to burn out.

The handful of folks who think it's fine, think otherwise.  All of us who don't play anymore just want everything handed to us.

Will add my 2 cents in to agree with Drep and Leis, it's the opposite of why many people started playing on EZ, hence not many there to play.

I've said it before, I'll repeat again, many of us are here because we loved playing EQ when we were younger with less "grown up" responsibilities. 

I don't hear people asking for it to be less difficult, but instancing and being able to play at my own pace and take long and sporadic AFK breaks which may land me in a bad spot in a public zone are key.

To those who are enjoying it, great, good for you, glad that the effort of many folks isn't wasted.

For me, I remain on the sidelines until there's a return to the EZ I've played for so many years.

Guild mates and friends... sure.  Griefers, train conductors and asshats.. no.

T-10 was nothing more than an attempt to pound square pegs into round holes.  This has been a solo/box server since I joined.  It's why I joined.  Not to compete with 700 other boxes in a desync test of the zone code.

This, plus I have to AFK, a lot, at this stage of my life with a kid running around and being a mostly functional adult, so that doesn't play well with others either.

Akk, thoughts on T10 changes from an instancing perspective?  I know some folks have learned to live with it or even like it, it's still a significant deterrent for me and my guild mate to returning to active play.

Look, whether your believe it or not, plenty of folks have stopped playing, quite a few due to the no instancing of T10.  It's sill to have the mechanic available for the first 9 progression zones, not counting the pre zones, and suddenly stop it at the last one.

That would be like watching 20 years worth of the Simpsons to have the new season come out with different characters.

So as with the whole information sharing stuff, people like to tell others how to play, seems many have decided to vote with their time and no longer play.

Adding instancing back in would encourage more people to play while doing nothing to hinder those who want to continue playing in a public zone.  Let's take a quick poll, how many of the self proclaimed public zone lovers do all their other tasks in public?

I can speak for me and my buddy, the no instance thing kills it completely.  I have 0 interest in dealing with other people's trains or them having to deal with my random AFK's all the time. 

Part of the fun for us on the server has always been we can do our own thing at our own pace in our own zones.  We could chat on occasion if needed, lend a hand or ask for hand, etc.

The sudden change into forced sharing is a huge non-starter for us.

For reference, we are fully T9, 1 UW11, 1 UW8 (maybe9), 4UCv3, maxxed augs, etc.  We haven't set foot in T10.

Hate, thanks for the response.  I have a few follow up questions.

1 - What is the planned migration for the zone once it becomes old hat?  If a group of 6 can't handle it, the zone will not support new players once the majority of folks are beyond T10 as there won't be people in the zone to speed up said triggers.

2 - While my crew certainly has a lot it could do as far as UW, SOA, etc, we were looking forward to T10 and a new challenge, however, that was about the zone being challenging for our group of people.  Not a challenge for a bunch of people on the server who may or may not be working together.  Is there a feasible way for what we deem ourselves as casual to enjoy the zone?  It sure doesn't seem so from reading Kruciel's posts.

3 - What is the server vision moving forward?  While this server may not have originally been about instancing, it most certainly is that today.  This started while Hunter was still with us so he was aware as well.  If the vision is super crazy zones that can be handled by a group or 2 in instances, that's fantastic.  If it is super crazy zones that require a bunch of people running groups doing all kinds of stuff, that seems counter-intuitive to what EZ has been about since I started playing.  If that is the new direction, I'm cool with it, as we all know, you guys run the show here.  However, it's not something I'm particularly interested in so I can save myself some time if that's where we are going.

For some perspective, every single zone on the server can be done as one group, now this one we have a statement that it effectively can not.  That is a huge change in direction after getting through 9 tiers and a bunch of zones never named as tiers.  Plus, all of them can be instanced.
