So, in recent (days) we've been messing around with forum sigs and such for each other. Figure we may as well make a thread dedicated to this endeavor! No point cluttering the forums with multiple threads for the same thing, right? So here we are!

I guess the basic premise of this thread would be for anyone on server to make requests, suggestions, post product, or just chit chat about ideas in general regarding forum signatures. I don't claim to be some kind of guru with Photoshop (or Macromedia Fireworks for that matter), and I'm sure no one else is making this claim... but if you want a rookie hack job forum sig for laughs feel free to request here!

I'm sure someone will be happy to work something up when free time is available. Enjoy!

We can probably do avatars too! However, I don't know anything at all about making animated .gifs to be completely honest. (thanks for mention funkinmofo)

So I was browsing the web for a few signature specific tutorials for Photoshop (and Fireworks) and stumbled upon these. Hope they help at least a little! Credit goes completely to authors who wrote them, just posting them as learning aids =)

Can do animated gifs really easy if you grab a copy of gimp or paintshop pro.
(gimp is free can be run on linux or windows depending on your choice of operating system)
Also you can google flash to gif, couple of decent apps out there to convert flash ani to gifs if you are better at using flash.

Oh and if you are really into stick figure style avatars and whatnot:

I'm a crazy enchanter with an all-pet/cleric group, so somebody waving a sword around isn't really very appropriate.

Some guys in the foreground with some nasty looking creatures behind them would work better for me lol.

Checked out all the usual render places and all the mesmer or enchanter type casters looked wayyyy too feminine.

Decided to try this way instead.

Funny you would say that, because last night after I made the thread I suddenly thought "Man! A trogdor sig for trogdorr would fun to make!" So I planned on playing around with it after work today. And posting as a suprise for you lol. already got a bunch of pieces for it. Was scrounging for any old SS I may have had of you
