....If you are going to change the limit to no more than killing 10 mobs at one time....

This update aggravated me very much and wish to see some cooperation with us ez server members.

This is not a change, this rule has been in place forever.

As to cooperation among easy players, may I suggest we think about what a nice gift Hunter offers here for us and agree to cooperate in not giving him grief?  Think it through....

Do so few people understand how easy it is to make plat in this game?

Serious folks, just go to velks or qvic and farm gems... they drop like candy in both places.  As a higher end player I can pull the castle and kobolds and kill them and have just enough time to loot the corpse pile before it is ready for rinse and repeat.  At roughly 15-18k / clear in an instance.  I can do the same thing in pub, just takes longer cause I have to stop and loot every 9 mobs.  Shocked

As a low end player ( I have a baby sk I am soloing to see just how possible it is to solo here.) I was able to stack over 200k before level 70 through farming velks in pub.

50k for a group or 100k for a guild is a reasonable price for a 3 day run.  You *will* make that much in the 3 days, either in loot sales or armor acquisitions.

just saying....

Hell, in qvic there's so many mobs bunched together in some of the areas it's going to be hard to not get 10 mobs in certain places.
And that would cripple the ability of a person with less-than-stellar computer to pull mobs to a central looting location in many zones.  /stick isnt always a feasible option in places like Qvic/Ldon/basicallyanywherewithwallsandobstacles.

Umm, try counting the mobs as you pull them.  I cannot think of a single place outside of specific encounters like MoW where you can attack 1 mob near you and pull 10.  I am not an expert, just saying....

And anyone with a 4.0+ and no AE ability is going to have a devil of a time keeping adds down on mobs like MoW and Tacvi boss 2 without getting 10 on a single screen.

I don't think encounters like the tacvi bosses that spawn multiple adds would count as a train, at least not if you are killing them in their own room, and not pulling the whole zone to boss 8.

The whole 'no train' thing is pretty basic:  don't be greedy and do take your time.  If you can't handle behaving like that then pop an instance and party down.  Cheesy

....
As in live or any game for example becoming high geared takes time and with that you get the benefit of lower tier zones being easier with the 10 rule your basically saying all the effort you put in to gear means nothing in this aspect and I would like to hear your opinion on this Hunter as most things on this server is already pretty time consuming.

The fact that I can clear a zone several tiers lower than my char normally hunts does not mean that I should, or even that it is a moral thing to do.  The name for the act of a high level wasting a lower level zone for loot is "bottom feeding"  From the point of an observer it is a rude, arrogant behavior.  It is highly unfair competition to the players who are properly geared to be hunting at that zone level.

That being said, there are valid reasons to hunt down level.  The way you do that is to pop an instance so you do not impact the lower end of the community.  At a bare minimum of courtesy, if you do go bottom feeding in a public area you really should consider giving away the loots you do not need.

I still say you give yourself a challenge.  Make a group of 6 druids and go from 0 to 5.0 without assistance.

pass haha would take as long as Strix getting his 5.0s.. sheess..

What you talking about Fugi?  That would take as long as *me* getting a 5.0!!!  Grin

It would not be a huge thing if instances went from a 7 day period to a 1 day duration.  Even for a 1.0 soloist (Theory guys, theory!! Cheesy) you're talking about an hour in Velks. Shocked

If it is not a coding nightmare it would be excellent if the instances were left at 7 days and the reboot checked to see if it had been used and deleting unused instances.

I know this is a little distant.

But consider what ever you choose as your main party to UC/AUG them fully. It changes things drastically.

You go from a pair of manual cutting sheers to a Rocket-powered man eating lawnmower with a 10ft cut diameter.

It's twooo!  It's twooo!!!

Women do notice the the size of your UC!  There was a bar wench in Shadowhaven who wouldn't even bring me an ale... till I walked in one day with a big UC on.  Wink

I appreciate your replying to my question.

I also (gently, without rancor) reject your answer as dodging the question.  Smiley

While I am (Well, a real world friend of mine actually.) a strong potential buyer, I am not in the least interested in buying a 'pig in a poke'.

Good luck with your sale, I hope that you get maximum cash value for your past efforts playing on EZ.

Even greater luck do I wish you in your educational pursuits.

Good luck in school... way more important than any game.

What are the char names please?

EDIT:

Thanks for the char status update.  Perhaps you missed my question about the char names?  As you may imagine, reputation of the character is relevant to a lot of players here.  While some of us may be interested in purchasing an extra character or team, no one really wants to run into the kind of flack generated by a Gumboo situation.  (Look it up on the forums if you don't recognize the reference.)

just saying....

I'm not convinced a fee is needed as a management device.  The only players affected would be the very newest.

A quest along the lines of CG/Fg would be most excellent.  I think it should also be a soloable (for the most part anyway) quest.  Currently a player can have a guild made by a single char's action (e-mail to Hunter) and I see no gain in changing that.

I don't like the idea that the guild npc is only available at certain times because it sorely impacts players who cannot get in game during those hours.  However, the guild creation process needs to occur during slack hours.

Hunter, is it possible to have the quest queue something into a slack hours batch update?  In addition to managing the update impact it also would allow a window for management oversight.

My personal experience on the first UC was that LDON 5 provided the best returns, with LDON 2 and 4 tied for 2nd, LDON 6 in 4th.  I'll be first to say my testing was limited and could easily have been skewed by excessive drops on 5 during the test.  That being said, the armor card drops on 5 added up rapidly with the tokens.

My strategy using a solo SK* (4.0 / 4.5, T4/T5) was brain dead simple... Kill everything on 5, loot and sell everything for points and upgrades other than sorcer. I ended up looting my sorcer 25 upgrade before I finished my brawler 25 so I had to finish off on LDON 2.  Skeezy spent 146,000 LDON credits on purchasing 73 upgrades to get his UC.

The HoH portion was a lot of helping others finish their UC's and catching the rot, running around soloing Heavens (The easiest ones to kill, as well as best loots.) and popping instances.  Starting out I was just barely strong enough to clear Heavens before respawn.  I did not find it terribly expensive to finish the last 25 or so charm upgrades via re-popping guild instances.  (I tend to avoid group instances after many issues with them.)

For subsequent UC's things are much easier.  I *hate* LDON.  I would have a ton of alts if they didn't have to each go through there!  Cheesy  So the cleric and pally grew their UC's off chasing Shadow.  The Cleric spent 20,000 LDON credits for his UC.  The Paladin spent 0.  I'm tickled pink this option exists and exercise it actively!

I would like to see a similar option for those that do not care for HoH.  Make it take longer, like doing v1's off Shadow hunting, but give folks a choice of hunting environments.

* By solo I'm saying I am playing only that one toon.  In LDON contexts that is completely accurate.  In the HoH context it holds the same meaning, me playing one toon and killing stuff alone, but also includes work with groups where I am playing a single toon.  I don't want to suggest I entirely soloed my first UC; while an SK could do that, it would take forever!!!! Cheesy  Shucks, as it was it took a long while and didn't finish till a double loot weekend hit! Wink

Excellent write up and edits, thanks folks!
