You guys know the crash fix was done by Rogean right? Hunter just updated the code. If anything you guys should thank him. They've been trying to find out about that bug for the longest.

Well aware of it. EZ was basically my test to see if it was really fixed, and it really was. Great job Rogean.

So, did Secrets quit shortly after becoming a GM? They haven't been on in awhile and I see the last forum login was 2 wees ago. Shame if so. Was happy seeing forward progress.

I'm still around. I'll be emailing hunter shortly letting him know what's up. I am sorry I sorta disappeared, I have a habit of losing interest in things quite easily. I am not perfect, and I don't think I should be, but I agree that I sorta disappeared. I'll be working on a few things irl, then i'll be back over on EZ. The diffs for the source edits I gave Hunter should work on latest SVN. Though, I would advise turning off the perma-buff stuff until that crash issue regarding it is resolved.

It's not intentional on the resists *and* the DoT resetting. The DoT resetting was sorta intentional as a temporary fix until I could fix it scaling all the way up there, rather than per-spell cast.

I'll be doing some testing today and pushing out a fix later.

When I asked you if it was working corretly with a 16k tick, you said that was intended on a 3.0. Now it's 375 with 375 increasing a tick. That dot went from uber to noober. Was this what was intended with your tick fix?

What was happening was the DoT would start at a set value, and not reset until you zone. That was what I fixed.

Not particularly. It's more of an issue of balance.

Speaking of which I fixed the ticking issue on this spell today.

So, out of curiosity, I have been kinda following the new SK epic effect and stuff but because i dont have one its hard to know exactly how it works.

For what i gathered it does and AoE proc, DoT dmg on all mobs in area which spreads to anything that comes near/ mobs gathered around that lose the DoT. With this, it gives the SK a HoT as well as his group members. The Dot progressively gets stronger the longer its active on a mob.

Does this mean that an SK could potentially be invincible the more mobs he/she has on them attacking? The HoT gets stronger the more mobs are affected right? Pull a huge train in a zone (non custom of course...cough cough) get the effect on all mobs, run around collecting more mobs, they get affected, rinse, repeat, and just kite them all around til death, or tank them to death

just a thought.... half asleep and worn out from work kinda thought. im sure i have a few details wrong here, almost positive... but meh

There's no HoT effect; just a DoT.

I have to get the parses going, but a quick lunch time excursion saw the click's damage. first round (on the mobs it landed on) was 1 point of dmg. The second round of the DoT saw on the verge of 16k dmg, then it increased by 375 points each tick.

This was with the SK 3.0 weapon. I currently use an oracle charm. I need that Ultimate. =/

That's intentional. You should see it increasing gradually depending on the damage it calculates.

The one damage on hitting an NPC is to make the NPC aggro on you before ticking.

Should be in on newly booted zones as per the update notes, let me know of your thoughts on it.

Newly booted zones include non-custom zones and instances.

- SK epic clicky should be fixed. It now works on NPCs only, and does gradually increasing damage each tick. The more NPCs affected by the DOT, the greater the damage output as it ticks.*

* NOTE: This is only active after the next 6am reboot from this post (or a manual reboot by Hunter.)

These were fixes that were previously implemented, but I had no access to implement them. Patience is a virtue.
