Not logging my characters into Surefall Glade.

I was in plane of time - then when I used my noobie item to zone back to Surefall I cannot enter the game - says Server Timed out? then straight back to login screen. Any help guys?

I've had this happen to me before when my toons where in PoTime, I couldnt log them on or they would crash when I was in the zone. I used the character mover on this site to get them to Nexus.

This problem persisted for a few days, only when I went to PoTime. Eventually the zone started working again for me /shrug

I've had the same problem in the past with potimea, happened twice but then eventually it would go away.  Currently having a problem with lakerathe.  It worked for awhile then it didn't work, next day worked again, now again i was going for Lord Burgwhatever for the CG it says server not responding and kicks me to login.  Not sure what it's about but it's only lakerathe now as far as I can tell.  Very strange.

My guess is a firewall between your computer and EZServer is blocking a certain port.

EQEmu operates by opening each zone in a different port. I don't recall the range offhand, though. So as long as that zone is attached to the port that the firewall is blocking, it's going to not be able to connect.

Anyone have a port range handy to help these fine folks out?

Basically you'll need to dig into your firewall settings and set up an exception for ports XXXX-YYYY.
