Anyone want to drop hints on this?

I know the quest is long and tedious... honestly I'd probably just buy a flag, $25? 

Is it worth doing that for 1 of my chars?  Or am I better off buying stuff from others..  Fire/Icestrike augs are crafted thru here right?

Go hail him and he tells you what he wants. Its the stupid GrandMaster XYZ items all over again.
Only worth it on one character.

I know that, but what about the rewards/benefits of doing it?  Crafted armor and/or augs?

It's not particularly long and tedious either.  You could do it in a few hours assuming the toon you're going to do it with has all the tradeskill AAs available to them.  An Enchanter is easiest because of the JC aa, but any toon can do it given enough money and luck.

Yes that is all so far access to the zone that sells the items needed for the bugs and armor combines....

The search engine brings up all the info for the crafters armor and augs... Its an amazing function....
