I'm sure this question has been asked/explained elsewhere, so please feel free to reply with only a link and I would be very appreciative.

Why shouldn't bards be allowed to charm mobs? I'm not saying charm bosses and wipe the zone with them, but what would be the real harm in allowing a bard to charm a zone-appropriate trash mob? I don't think it would become an unstoppably impossible pet, even if the fireswords were to work for it.

Your thoughts?

It was originally taken out because there was a dupe exploit associated with it. That has been fixed but no word has come on charm being reactivated. Honestly though, charm is one of those things that is either super ineffective or way over effective. You actually have to balance content around it.
