Title: New Source 11/23/10
Post by: Hunter on November 23, 2010, 09:34:43 pm
The Monk T3/T4 Haste might not be working with the new compile of source code today. Just a heads up.

To see things that got fixed by developers, check out http://projecteqemu.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/EQEmuServer/changelog.txt (http://projecteqemu.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/EQEmuServer/changelog.txt).

One thing to watch out for is that procs have been changed since the last time source code was updated.  The procs per minute settings in the database might need to be adjusted up if you want people to proc on average as often as before.

I'm sure people will post their observations if they are noticing that procs are much lower.

I haven't logged in yet, but are you planning on adding the new AAs that are available?

I've already sourced in the sql which I assume included new AAs. If not, I'll figure out how to get them.

Yes, people may notice certain things change now, such as NPC chance to stun when doing bash etc.

I'll try to smooth things out, just keep me posted what's changed without freaking on out me or else I'll lose motivation and just ignore the server until people calm down.

New source was since 10/03/10.

Seems procs might have changed, but I don't exactly know how much yet. Need some parses etc.

Here is a screenshot of our procs per minute settings in the database. These are default values. I'm not sure what "rules" were already there before or after the update. Maybe they were there all along and the source code changed some how. Keep me posted on procs etc.

Yes, the knee jerks have begun. I do see some parsing going on though, so hopefully we can get those fixes done once the raw data is posted.

Changing the default 4 PPM to 10 PPM which should change it from one proc every 15 seconds to one proc every 6 seconds, sorta like heal tick.

Keep me posted on parses. Will do more tweaks this weekend.

It was probally the math that figured out how the procs worked and just was not correct till now but what that means is we got jacked up.

Meaning procs are probably working now as intended.

So are the NPC stunning players from kicks and bashes.

You've all had it too easy for too long!

The Monk T3/T4 Haste might not be working with the new compile of source code today. Just a heads up.

Last I knew the haste on the monk t4 click spell was 200%. It has never worked that I have known of. It actually slowed down my attempts per second. But it also greatly increases my actual hits. It did increase dps though because of the max damage per hit increase. Not a complaint at all, just a clarification. If need be I can dig up my parse data on the forums and do a fresh one to add to it.

The new Cleric AA Gift of Mana is overwriting Focus of Healing and the Epic 3.0 400% healing buff which really hurts Cleric healing.

Any way to turn the effect off in the database, like making it a 0% chance to proc?  The idea of no-cost spells is cool, but no-cost spells that heal for 1/4 of what I need isn't so cool.

I just changed this internally to not overwrite your Amplify Healing spell. It will not over write Focus of Healing either, never did afaik, they are completely different spelltypes.

Hunter-

Mind bumping it to possibly 12 or even 13 to see if that brings it back to where it was before the source update?

Gift of Mana or something new is still removing the Focus of Healing or Epic 3.0 400% healing buff.

Please try making Gift of Mana a 0% chance to proc so we can test and see if the buff removal goes away.  This is very hard to test and narrow down as it doesn't happen 100% of the time.  I can sit in the caster's guild for an hour chain casting and not have it happen, but step out and actually heal people and it does pretty much immediately but I'm in the middle of a fight and don't know why.

The issue with that buff being removed was fixed in rev 1746. Short story long...

What happens is when gift of mana procs, it sets a variable that you have a cast limited focus on your character, however when you cast the spell and the code sorts through all of your focuses to see which is going to activate, it uses the highest level (since there was no filtering at that level) which then sets that spellid as the spell to check, so that when it finishes casting, it will check how many hits are remaining on that spell. Since that spell has no entry in the maxhits field, it is removed as if it was a cast limited time buff with no hits.

In rev 1746, it only loads that variable if the active focus is cast limited.

Looks like wizard T3 spell Yamikagis Firey Sundering is being resisted even though its supposed to be unresistable.
