Title: Login Issue Post by: Warbash on December 23, 2010, 11:19:37 pm Hi all,
I tried to log in today and get no server listing. Nothing has changed on my end since I logged in Thanksgiving. Any ideas? I don't see anything on here nor on eqemu. Thanks. Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: L0stman on December 24, 2010, 12:00:45 am I do not blame you for not finding it given its name is not really intuitive but this has been covered here: http://ezserver.online/forums/index.php?topic=1466.msg19325;topicseen#new (http://ezserver.online/forums/index.php?topic=1466.msg19325;topicseen#new).
Synopsis: Its not your fault, its happening to many many servers on EQEMU currently. Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Warbash on December 24, 2010, 12:09:13 am Thanks,
I saw that and its actually related to another issue, I have found that this could be due to a port 5998 blocking problem. When I said nothing changed I actually had a brain fart, we changed isp's and I cant configure the modem to not block / foward this port. I may have to contact the isp. Sucks for me, missing double loot weekend! Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: lerxst2112 on December 24, 2010, 12:30:58 am You shouldn't need to unblock any ports assuming you're using a normal router/nat device. The initial connection is outgoing, so the packets that come back pass right through that hole. Do no servers work for you? Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Warbash on December 24, 2010, 12:32:05 am the server screen is blank :(
Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: lerxst2112 on December 24, 2010, 12:56:47 am Hmm. What kind of modem/router is it? Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Warbash on December 24, 2010, 11:00:03 am Its a westel, not sure of model as its not on the modem itself but it says style mstatea? Its a router for ATT socal.
Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Warbash on December 24, 2010, 11:53:41 am I just configured the old isp modem and it has the same problem, I assume since the old modem worked before that this is an isp issue?
Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Kikinu on December 24, 2010, 01:52:02 pm I am having issues as well, when i check the emu server status page, it says pending for EZ. What does this mean? It's been pending for me for 20-30 minutes.
Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Warbash on December 24, 2010, 02:11:39 pm That's a different issue which is covered in the 2nd post.
Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Ryvva on December 24, 2010, 02:40:44 pm in the past Rogean has said to copy a tracert from your pc to the login server and see if any servers in the route are the issue. I ran into this problem and he contacted the company and thigns got better. But this should be on eq emu forums since it is not anj ez issue.
Surely folks will continue to logon and spam profanity and hate on the login server. Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Balthor2 on December 24, 2010, 03:01:11 pm What those above me said.
Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Crawford on December 24, 2010, 03:02:23 pm Pretty much ruins the fun of playing right now. Good thing I'm hopelessly addicted or I'd be doing something else.

Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Fabdibikya on December 25, 2010, 03:11:59 pm ping -a www.servername.com pings and resolves to IP.
tracert www.servername.com automatically resolves to ip and then attempts to trace. Enter your loginserver here, and you're set to go. (PS: Commands only valid in Winblows, start a command prompt before you do, don't just run it from the Run task window) Title: Re: Login Issue Post by: Warbash on December 25, 2010, 04:56:39 pm thanks, I think I found it,
<loginserver> <host>eqemulator.net</host> <port>5998</port> Which gives the ip address of the main website. I can access that site, ping it and tracert it with no issues. Still wonder what is going on :( No response from eqemu either. So should I be able to tracert the ip address 67.23.190.71:5999? I cant with the :5999 on the end. On a side note, Merry Christmas all! |
