Title: Great DPS class? Post by: Gnaughty on January 13, 2011, 12:34:53 am So Ive been out of it lately and am getting ready for the grind that is T4. Due to unfortunate circumstances I am no longer using one of my wars for farming HoH stones. I was wondering what would be the best bang for the buck class to replace that warrior with? I mean with 4.0 Ultimate charm and all that, has anyone parsed monk s rangers with that yet?

Post by: Gnaughty on January 13, 2011, 01:55:56 am Alright I get conflicting reports of top Dps so I guess I'll have to do all the work myself this week and do some parsing ugh, I didnt want to get any epics done for a sk this week which is only class I dont have 4.0 with. I just did the monk and dayum I didnt know he was hitting that much! Im going to try the wizrads out again and see what I can squueze out of them.

Post by: Likkety on January 13, 2011, 08:00:57 am For stone farming, I use a 2x 4.0 War, 2x 3.5 Pallys, a 2x 4.0 Monk and a 2x 3.0 Rog just for a little more set/forget DPS and avatars drop in like 15secs. None of my toons have even close to UC or RoA 100 but the monk does have a 50Sorc and the war is 150k. I can even do T3 gear mobs with those 5 but it gets hairy sometimes.

Post by: Collector on January 13, 2011, 08:21:40 am You should try 4.0 Zerk w/3 V's and UC ! Maybe they be decent !
Title: Re: Great DPS class? Post by: Gnaughty on January 13, 2011, 09:45:47 am never know I may try that.
Title: Re: Great DPS class? Post by: Teehee on January 13, 2011, 09:47:19 am Wizards just aren't worth it. I wont even log mine in anymore.
Title: Re: Great DPS class? Post by: Collector on January 13, 2011, 09:54:37 am Well, if you do try the Berserker thing, fill us in on some Parses =)
But.. I think so far with what parses we are presented with, everyone seems to agree SK is best dps, with UC of course ) Title: Re: Great DPS class? Post by: Gnaughty on January 13, 2011, 09:57:36 am I had no idea SK were that strong! Wow Ill have to check it out and try for his epics today in between watching my nephews. /auc buying charms lol

Title: Re: Great DPS class? Post by: Collector on January 13, 2011, 11:37:09 am /audible Like i said.. with parses presented to me, I never said I had a UC SK..... Title: Re: Great DPS class? Post by: Gnaughty on January 13, 2011, 12:18:54 pm you guys are dumb, why didnt anyone tell me I was lame for using so many wars?
Title: Re: Great DPS class? Post by: walk2k on January 13, 2011, 01:22:49 pm If you count aoe then warriors are by far the highest DPS. I parsed over 81,000 dps in pofire once... for about 4 seconds that is, then everything was dead :)
(and that's just with 3.0, 4x angerV and sorc II) after that I would say SK/Paladin with firestrikes, and then distant 3rd would be monk/ranger/rog or any other dual-wield class with Icestrikes x4/x6/whatever.. sad it comes to down to buying 10 million PP in augs to do good damage, but there it is. Title: Re: Great DPS class? Post by: Gnaughty on January 13, 2011, 01:30:42 pm Looks like im going to be farming T3 for a bit.

Post by: hateborne on January 14, 2011, 09:35:25 am Wizard pulling is a great and noble tradition.
Many a great wizard have spent decades learning the craft of evocation, alteration, and other similarly useless skills to bring so much to the fight. Without a wizard aiding the struggle of war, who else would be willing to taxi the armies about? After decades, the wizard is able to bring so much to the table. He can pull the boss, he can pull off an important add (not for very long mind you), and he has mastered the art of coming back from the grave (in such a way that he can always bring fresh baked cookies from the underworld with each rezz, supplying sustenance to the armies of war). Can these "ranger" types produce such grace and guile when asked to pull? I think not! In closing, please remember Wizards are boss pullers too. (...that bring cookies back from the dead.) -Hateborne |
