Title: Remove OOC? Post by: Hunter on January 15, 2011, 03:07:09 pm Since the Chat Server is now working, we can use the General channel as the new global channel for everyone to chat. Should we remove ooc from being server wide, and make it local zone only?

Shout is commonly used for in zone communication. Why make another channel just to replace what is there. If I am missing something let me know.

So i dunno what the difference with the general channel, but i like the OOC, all the people can talk together, ask question or for help, so if the general channel do same thing, well, you can remove ooc, maybe general channel is better ? but for zone only, we got shout, dunno what the benefit to make ooc instead of shout ? Cause you can remove yourself from any chat channel and not hear global spam. Title: Re: Remove OOC? Post by: Drezden on January 15, 2011, 05:26:31 pm I voted yes,reason being resist and other stuff is tied to shout...and it creates a lot of spam,so I keep shout where my battle spam goes. Using /ooc for zone allows you to put it with the rest of you chat you dont want to miss without this extra spam. I know I miss a lot of /shouts this way.
Plus with general chat now,why would you need 2 server-wides? No one likes change,but we all get use to it. People will adapt. |
