Title: The nudity got me thinking!
Post by: Curry on January 16, 2011, 05:43:17 am
Best thread subject ever.

But ye, there was some database mishap with the reboot, so everyone logged in and found themselves naked. Banks were empty, vendors were empty, mobs dropped no loot...

And that was kinda cool at first (well, until figured that mobs dropped nothing either...)! So got me wondering, could this concept be turned into an event of some form? Like, strip everyone (or some chaps who'd want to participate in a set date for an event) of their lewts, no vendor epics and whatnots, no bankers to get backup lewt from... Then set some goal (like first to get a 3.0 book? would hafta remove flag tho so they'd hafta actually go through qvic), and see how they'd fare. It'd remove the concept of 300k 4.0 ae warrior running you through the whole charade in an hour, and you'd have to gear up in potime or whatever and run around with actual cleric(s) instead of just a pack of pallys! Whoever would be first to achieve the goal would win something.

Just throwing it out there, seemed like a spiffy idea. =p

I've thought about holding weekend event, like pvp maybe, then reverting to a backup of the database after the event is over so nobody loses anything. So no risk fun events.
