Hi there, after drawing Hunter's attention to the issue I am posting here as requested.

Recently got my Bard Epics 3.5 and 4.0 and noticed the following.

1) There is no increase in effect towards songs from 3.0, no increase in DS, regen or else for both 3.5 and 4.0. Maybe that is meant to be, just stating facts.
2) The clicky on 3.5 and 4.0 appears to be broken, it casts alright but doesnt stick on self, group members or affect NPCs in any way. I am not sure what it's suppose to do "Bard's gift epic 4.0" is a bit vague as a description. In any case it doesn't look like it's doing anything at this point, unless I am mistaken.

Any chance you'd look into this Hunter when you got a chance and let us know Brads out there who worked hard for these epics what's going on with the weapons?

I am a little confused. Are you saying that the bard 3.0 doesn't do anything for songs?

what I am saying is that 3.5 and 4.0 don't do anything more to songs that the 3.0 does. In other words there is no benefit towards songs when you go from 3.0 to 3.5 and 4.0, you still have the same DS, regen and whatever else song effect you had with 3.0. Plus the clicky that do not appear to do anything either on 3.5 and 4.0.

oh and BTW hunter since we talking Bard epic, the 4.0 looks like a bamboo stick....hum, hum, I look dandy nnow with my 2 canes lol.

 My first suggestion would be to delete this thread and move your post to the Suggestion Forum. It will get buried here with the quickness.

 Secondly,if you have any way of testing these things for yourself, it would greatly increase your chances of getting something done. Hunter doesn't have a test server. Its all kinda hit and miss. It may look good on paper, but might not work in game.

 Not flaming you. These are legit concerns, but the easier you can make it for Hunter, the better chances you have of getting a fix in. Do the leg work for him. I'm sure other would be willing to help test, those that have bards as I do not.

Also, as general information (as "it makes my wiz and sk happy" doesnt tell you), bard epic 3.5 or 4.0 is a manafeed (iirc, 25k mana, 1min recast for 4.0)

Seems to work for Gnaughtys wizards fine

OK so the clicky works and is a mana replenish buff.

Remains the song modifier that does not get any boost from 3.0 to 3.5 and 3.5 to 4.0. If I knew  the only benefit getting a 3.5 and a 4.0 would be a mana replenishing clicky and a bit more damage (plus the HP bonus all classes get) I would have thought twice before getting 2 epics 3.5s and then 2 epics 4.0 for my bard, bit of a waste of energy at this point in regard of the reward you get.

The mana replenish is what keeps my bard around, not a waste of energy to me at all.  It also pretty much keeps my wizard around.

If you're concerned about "wasting energy" for future toons, you could always ask in /ooc what something does prior to doing it.

Good point about the second 3.5/4.0. So, why did you go for it after already getting the first one?

Even if the clicky were something you liked, the second 3.5/4.0 would have the same refresh.

 
I am humbly sorry that I brought up the issue, and I agree with you I am a moron for seeking a second epic, I deeply regret I brought all this up and I am gonna crawl back in my hole and be quiet now and do not speak no more, please accept my apologies Agrias and Chunkumss for wasting your time with my stupid post.

Come on, warriors get a second stonewall with 3.5 and a lot more damage with 4.0 because of the third slot and free aug, Paladin get a healing bonus with 3.5 and another healing bonus with 4.0, Mage pet gets stronger with every epic up to 4.0 as the BST pet does, and so on. Why can't bard get a better song modifier with 3.5 and 4.0? That is all I am saying.
