Title: Enchanter Changes Post by: Secrets on January 26, 2011, 02:34:25 pm Hopefully this will fix the enchanter's tank pet and make it more useful:
- The damage on it has been upped, and the proc removed. - The HP on the pet has been significantly reduced. - It now looks like a clone of yourself including your AC + resists + stats, but not damage or HP. Damage is a fixed value per tier, as is HP. - It now casts enchanter spells up to level 70, and is a swarm pet. You can still control the epic pets alongside it. With higher tiers, it summons multiple doppelgangers for added attacks!! - Reuse was lowered to 60 seconds @ t4 and varies depending on spell. You will have the old recast until you download the new spellfile. I am also talking about making their melee mod into a percentage/damage based rune. That is yet to be determined. I am waiting on Hunter for feedback, however, I feel like the tank pet change was needed seeing as it was useless otherwise. This change is effective next reboot, and the spellfile will be posted when Hunter or myself gets around to it. Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Fabdibikya on January 26, 2011, 03:01:23 pm <3!
What spells will it be casting, though? -Clev Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Hunter on January 26, 2011, 03:48:01 pm I exported and uploaded the spell file, available for download now.
Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Fabdibikya on January 26, 2011, 04:11:18 pm Oh, I forgot to ask - is the pet still dependent on malachite being used as component? The old ones were. No big deal, since it's available free, just want to know if i need to stock up on it again (or if it can still be changed to not require any components or tiny daggers)

Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Secrets on January 26, 2011, 05:27:24 pm If the pet had its hp's significantly lowered isnt that a bad thing or am I reading it wrong? The pet no longer does 1-2 dmg, it does a significantly higher amount of damage, compareable with other pet classes but slightly lower. Combined with multiple swarm pets, the damage adds up. It is no longer a tank pet but an awesome swarm pet. ;) Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Gnaughty on January 26, 2011, 05:28:19 pm Oh ok lol sorry sometimes im a lil slow. so whats it parsing at? im trying to cast the T2 pet right now and it keeps telling me recast time hasnt been met yet I hadnt cast a pet yet weird.

GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY GIDDY. Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Secrets on January 27, 2011, 05:54:45 am I am actually tempted to stop it from casting enc buffs. From what I have seen, there is no benefit from doing that, as each pet has to rebuff itself.
edit: done. Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Fabdibikya on January 27, 2011, 06:02:24 am From what I've seen, it doesnt do anything.
Shorter recast, yes. Still yellow icon, still consumes a malachite, and when I cast it, the whole lot of nothing happens. No errors, no pets, no mobs aggro. Nothing. /sadface Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Secrets on January 27, 2011, 06:10:03 am From what I've seen, it doesnt do anything. Shorter recast, yes. Nothing. /sadface I already fixed it, pending reboot + new spellfile. I forgot to change the goodeffect + targettype flag on the spell. Everything else about the ability works, though. I also removed the malachite cost. Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Fabdibikya on January 27, 2011, 06:43:25 am Got me all giddy'd up and now I have to wait again :P
It's all good though, it sounds like this is worth waiting for. Hugs! -Clev Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Gnaughty on January 27, 2011, 01:07:25 pm ooooh very cool, yeah I cast it this morning and got same response. it did tell my chanter she wasnt flagged for anything though!
Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Fabdibikya on January 28, 2011, 05:27:27 pm If math serves me, now Enchanters (pending reboot) will be able to summon ten copies of themselves, plus the epic pet (1 pet enchanting defender, 2 pets enchanting defender t1, 3 pets enchanting defender t2 and 4 pets enchanting defender t3/t4).
That sounds seriously kicking-rad. Assuming an average of 3k dps per pet (which I would consider on the low side of dps scale, especially since there's 70% top-two tier dps), that would net a total of 30k dps in swarm alone. Add Enchanter's Arm (old version), that means a 15% dps boost, and you're hitting 35k dps. Throw in an AE haste and you're set! Of course, all these pets are not meant to tank, and especially the lower two tiers will probably die from a serious case of pants-shitting when they even share a zone with a t3/t4 level mob, let alone have to engage one. And then I'm not even mentioning that you have to survive the time it takes to cast all of them, and so do they. Serious parsage will be done when this is implemented, but all those who just needed to go and get a new pair of pants, I just want to say this: If this makes enchanters OP, bend over and take the nerfstick like a man. -Clev Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Mechules on January 28, 2011, 08:38:04 pm If this makes enchanters OP, bend over and take the nerfstick like a man. Enchanters OP? GOOD. They need some beefing up. Bring 'em up to match the rest of us. This is the first step in making every class equally viable. No need to nerf because eventually, I'd love to see every class (Necros especially) viable for T4-T5 grinding. Then my patterns won't be going to waste =) Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Fabdibikya on February 02, 2011, 09:16:49 am Assuming an average of 3k dps per pet (which I would consider on the low side of dps scale, especially since there's 70% top-two tier dps), that would net a total of 30k dps in swarm alone. Looking back on this, I might have been a bit naive thinking that we were going to be put on par with other classes. DPS is more like 10k total for all doppelgangers together, they dont last, they can't be buffed or healed. You can't keep t3/t4 up indefinitely, and even if you could you'd be looking at the whooping 6k dps max increase (parsed over 4 casts, 4-6k dps) Oh well, they're fun and they're a good step in the right direction, I suppose. I just hope this isn't everything, as we're still only halfway decent now. Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Gnaughty on February 02, 2011, 10:10:06 am Hey be happy, you're on the same level as the once revered ranjas! ;D
Title: Re: Enchanter Changes Post by: Fabdibikya on February 02, 2011, 05:22:46 pm Congratulations Enchanters!
