Title: Re: Problems with EZ server Post by: Padme on April 18, 2010, 01:45:42 am Same here, no way to log in, you click on play eq and he get you back to login page, and when you relogin, he give you this message :
Quote Error 1017: Cannot login to the Everquest server. You may need to re-run the update patch. Repeadly seeing this message indicate a loss of connectivity to the Patch server. This is usually temporary. then same thing ... boot you to login page ... Title: Re: Problems with EZ server Post by: yellowbird on April 18, 2010, 01:49:50 am Issue will be fixed shortly. Title: Re: Problems with EZ server Post by: Glup on February 13, 2011, 06:35:07 am Edit: Seems to be a problem with my Norton Internet Security. Disabled everything and I can now log in and don't get kicked out. Will investigate further later.
Title: Re: Problems with EZ server Post by: Hunter on February 13, 2011, 07:55:17 am Does your anti virus have a built in firewall that is allow/disallow programs from getting internet connection?
Title: Re: Problems with EZ server Post by: Glup on February 13, 2011, 09:42:26 am Update: Doesn't seem to be related to NIS after all. Uninstalled it and am now facing the same problem. Can log in but get kicked immediately.
Edit: Seems to be totally random now. I was playing happily in velks, then logged in second account and both went LD. Restarted with just 1 account, logged in and straight LD again. Title: Re: Problems with EZ server Post by: Glup on February 13, 2011, 02:12:30 pm Update
I power-cycled my router (reboot didn't help) and it seems to work again now... maybe it works for others as well. Title: Re: Problems with EZ server Post by: Beerman on February 13, 2011, 06:06:22 pm Any time you are having weird network problems and are using a home router, rebooting that should be one of your first troubleshooting steps.
If your router is a Belkin, go buy any other brand and throw it away, belkin routers are garbage. (This comes from 2+ years working tech support for an ISP). Title: Re: Problems with EZ server Post by: Fugitive on February 13, 2011, 06:24:41 pm ya cause ISPs never "have issues" but I do agree with you... lol
