Title: I dodged banhammer and all i got was mono! Post by: hateborne on March 04, 2011, 04:41:46 pm Quite a few of our fallen will find this amusing, as well as some of our current players.
Today some of the lab tests came back. Tested positive for mono and anemia. Given orally ingested steroid capsules, but spleen is still swelling. High likelihood of needing a doctor to go all rogue on me and ninja loot my spleen if it doesn't get smaller tomorrow. So the point of this post is, I dodged the banhammer and all I got was a mono. I'm pretty sure I've got some sort of virus or another, and i don't know how long my immune system can hold it off.

Actually, I hope you don't have to have it removed. He was out of shape and not much of a sports man at the time, but he forced himself to go jogging 1 hour every day, no matter what (lots of willpower) and 3 months later his sickness was gone for good.

The steriods helped a ton and I actually wound up getting to keep my organ. However, upon still having some badass stomache pains, I found out I had Gul Stones. 8 days later I had a Lap Coly ( Gull Bladder Removed Through Laproscopic Surgery ). Spleen removal is very similar to Lap Coly, it's not as bad as people make it sound, but make sure you plan on not doing shit for about a week after, it's a bitch just to sit up to go take a piss... I'm not 'fully' recovered mind you, as this crap takes 6-8 weeks (on avg) to get rid of totally. I can however move around normally, practice voice, and kick puppies again. It's amazing how easily we forget how mobile/healthy we are...until we aren't. -Hate |
