I haven't been into t5 yet, but I think I'll wait until I got my second cleric up and running. Need three more 4.0 kills and a few more 3.5 books before I'm entirely set, and even then I probably will just poke my head into t5, see what gives, and then farm t3/t4 and the missing lower tier pieces before I get into t5 full force.

Wonder if my non-tank group will be viable - going to be nasty, enchanter dead means wipe in all likelyhood.

Also, Hunter - could you please consider making the pet weapons ae aggro only, and no damage? The damage breaks mez, which is like having this really nice big gun but it being to heavy to lift, so the only thing you'd be able to shoot is your own foot.

No, all pets. I consider it an issue with Fireblades, not with enchanter pets. It makes enchanter mez not viable with any other pet class in the group.

And yes you better not mean mage pet, cause mine works jsut fine TY.... Silly caster peoples.

wait wait wait....Enchanter? Mez? WHAT?!?!? Blasphemer!

Get your head out underneath your rock, doll. Enchanters have a 2.5sec casting mez, unresistable, sticks up to lvl 90, and lasts around a minute. I know I at least can mez t4 mobs (yes, the bosses). Havent tried MCP yet but gonna do that sometime soon :D

Well Fab I have to disagree with you. Fireblades work fine on my mage, necro, and BL. If you dont like the effect on them dont equip them on your pets when grouping with your Enc simple as that.

LB, I'm afraid I won't be on when server comes back up - will be for sometime next week, doll. Will try to get my last cleric flagged for air, so we can do the last three 4.0 books at the same time.

Funkin, if it were that easy, I'd do it. Fact is, difference on a necro 4.0 with and without swords is about 11k dps. That means just because I want to do crowd control, on two necro's and a mage the dps hit would be about 30k dps, not to mention the fact that I probably wouldn't have the enchanter pet up at all, bringing the total dps hit to 40k. I wouldn't mind as much if they spawned with weapons that don't AE at all, but taking a 40k dps hit just to be able to mez seems very steep.

Just curious why the long down time on a weekend.  Figured it would be on a weekday or something.

That is a big hit in DPS but its also the gameplay style you chose to play. You decided you wanted to mez mobs. If you had initiated a discussion on adding mez friendly alternatives like fireblade v3 (without ae damage) on pets I would have supported it 100%. I like the fireblade v2 as it is, makes it viable to run necro,mage,bl as part of the team and still take down adds.

Hunter basically stated mezzing is required in t5, so it's not so much of a choice as a necessity. I have requested alternatives like a fireblade v3 with only AE aggro and a v4 with only single target dps in a suggestion thread, but I feel like they don't get any attention.

Considering mailing the man himself with suggestions, but my previous suggestion got no reply either.

Maybe I'm just on an ignore list lol.

You're absolutely right. If I could summon a full t4 pal with 4.0 and UC, I would be entirely happy. And a SK for the necro and a War for the mage. Win!

The why is easy ...its the only day Hunter has off to work on things.  I am just wondering if we can get a guesstimate on when it will be backup.

Ken, although you like me, and others(too many comma's :) want to be able to play all day on saturday.. This is actually Hunter's only day off. To rebuild, add-to, or enhance the server... Anytime something big is being done, it equals time for him, and downtime for us.

I for one would take the downtime over bugs and issues later when he doesnt have time to fix it.. I.E. the rest of the week when we play :)
