Title: Pet Classes: I have a question... Post by: hateborne on April 08, 2011, 01:54:06 pm Ok, so from my understanding:
Pets are trash at/past T2 as they have no mitigation/avoidance. Something about pets not being able to handle/activate/etc self preservation instincts. The damage is supposedly still phenominal but survivability is nearly non-existent. Is this true? Reason I ask, would it be possible to add another pet item once a player their 3.5 or 4.0? For example, say Necro-Bob gets his 3.5, then hails pet. Pet has buff, Fireblade v2, and Safety Helm. Safety Helm could have similar stats to Fireblade v2, 10-25k hp, +100 to all stats, +250-500 to regen, etc etc. Only difference is this contain a Worn Effect of Stonewall. The exact percentage of the Stonewall could be anywhere from Cleric click (25%) to warrior disc (60%) (or even higher if needed). The only thing I am unsure of is if the worn effect would actually take effect. If it does and this does work, there could be a v1 and v2 of this effect. Initial caster's guild flag giving v1 (same as Fireblade v2 but with cleric stonewall) and v2 from 3.5/4.0 (double Fireblade v2, but with much higher stonewall). Either way, there ya have it. Another worthless idea from Hate :-D -Hate Title: Re: Pet Classes: I have a question... Post by: Ashar on April 08, 2011, 02:51:44 pm my mages pet survives will t3/t4 now, the BL pet gets killed all the time (ya even when fighting from behind the mob). I dont use my necro pet as often as the other 2 but I hear it heals itself all the time and survives.

Title: Re: Pet Classes: I have a question... Post by: hateborne on April 08, 2011, 06:44:47 pm Heh that's part of the reason I'm asking. I was just curious if the intention to turn pet classes into simply healers of controlled pets was true.
Either way, thank you. |
