Title: Ranger damage Post by: Clegane on April 21, 2010, 07:35:58 pm Just downloaded the new spell file + PoD and Plane of Gods file.... and suddenly my ranger is critting for half his normal damage.
He's 3.0... any help? Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: ieawenpo on April 21, 2010, 09:48:55 pm rangers were nerfed bro.
Sorry. Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: Hunter on April 21, 2010, 09:53:48 pm Was the mob rooted?
Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: Clegane on April 21, 2010, 10:07:28 pm I first noticed it in plane of time killing trash, so no the mobs weren't rooted. I then killed DS, which took forever, and ported to surefall to test on the dummy. Still half damage (4.1k or so crits vs. 8.2k)
I tried relogging with no luck, and I've been in several different zones since then with buffs and without buffs. Not sure what's wrong. Again, this wasn't happening before I downloaded the spell file/pod/pogods. Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: ieawenpo on April 21, 2010, 11:35:52 pm seriously, for what its worth, i have updated my files 8 days ago and never noticed anything diff.
Took out DN in the nornal amount of time. I have noticed that trueshot is bugged evey rare occurance but nothing to mention that is important. Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: Linuvan on April 22, 2010, 10:41:09 am Bow damage cant really be tested on the practice dummy. For some reason you just dont get double damage on them(Most likely due to them being perma rooted). I want to say DS is another one, but not sure why the double damage doesnt work there, as its not stuck in place. Test on something your sure to get it off of, like an orc. Terrorantula also works good, just need to back up slightly after pulling.
Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: Shy on April 22, 2010, 12:07:10 pm Dragon Slave is perma-rooted. Hunter changed this after he saw me and my friend (Unheilig) pulling him off the isle back in October :P

Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: xoltrek on April 23, 2010, 03:29:22 am yesterday my ranger was doing normal dmg, so will say joke :)

Was about to be all upset and pout Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: Karbuk on April 23, 2010, 04:59:36 pm ranger damage is fine..its weird on certain mobs tho...DS in time you wont hit for 8k for some reason...practice dummy also...some mobs in melee range take more damage from bow compared to if you are a bit farther away...its strange but the damage is fine..still best dps so no worries :P

Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: Daggum on April 23, 2010, 05:16:53 pm functionally crabs is right, but for those who are anal about how stuff works technically the damage you do on rooted mobs is normal damage and damage on a non-moving non-rooted mob is doubled.

Always so technical Title: Re: Ranger damage Post by: Clegane on April 24, 2010, 12:29:44 am Not sure what the deal was, but I guess it had something to do with the range of the mobs I was testing it on.
At any rate, my ranger is happily critting like normal ;) |
