Title: Newb with questions about gear Post by: Candara on May 13, 2011, 03:53:19 pm New to the server but not new to EQ or the zones. I'm 55 and leveling straight to 70 playing a paladin. I've noticed there seem to be little to no non-vis drops. Shoulder, neck, back, waist, fingers, ear etc. Also with the epic vendor making the epic 1 hander, I haven't seen a single shield. Any thoughts? Should I camp old world for a shield? Do the Dulak, BoT named drop non vis and shields?

They all share a common loot table, so you can camp one of them if you want. I remember a bone shield dropping there for pally / sk.

Definitely camp the Dulak bosses - there is some nice melee stuff there that I still haven't upgraded despite a lot of boss kills in BoT. As soon as you get into PoTime, every boss drops up to 6 items ( I think ) and they are a combo of legs, BP's, misc armor, and tons of jewlery and cloaks along with weapons and ranged items. Keep on truckin, you'll get there.

You can equip it at level 1, for the most part. keep an eye out in time, there are a couple of items that have no level restrictions as well.
