EZ Server

Thats right, I've started a collection of custom maps, so far i have the 6 floors of our ldon done. Still need Potimea, SRO (just terrontula), South Karana (just quillimane), qvic, Tacvi (cuz of the levels but this one is EZ), PoD, and PoG. Also would like to add custom maps for all the zones with FG/CG items. Any help would be appreciated as I'm trying to get custom maps for us who play the server. Just hit me up on here or find me in game. More after the jump....


Custom maps (only ldon so far) - just unrar it into your maps folder in your everquest directory

heh, lets worry about getting everything here first, its just a work in progress atm, once completed, id have no objections to it going to the downloads section

just a FYI...

The LDON 3 map got the pages inverted i think... I got page 3 from the named Tree in the stairs (just before gatekeeper) and map says Page 4. I dont know if the frog drops 3 or 4? My guess would be 4?

Another useful thing to add to the maps would be the ZONE IN LOCATION when you get teleported by the Nexus or SF porters.

Tried to download your maps tonight, received the following page.

Odd... maybe B33t's upload didn't take or he renamed the file and the link needs to be redone.

Why have I not ever been able to get maps working, it bamboozles me. I thought origonally its because my install was an adapted P99 install. After a new PC and fresh install and mapfiend pack I STILL only get maps in certain zones. So appart from memorising qvic, tacvi and ldon 1-6 i spend most of my time-

Curious about custom maps.  Can devs actually build new zones from the bottom up?....not just rearrange spawns or something

I have read in a few places that the different version installs have different directories with different folder names, etc.

This may be the problem.  Check to make sure you are putting the new files in the right place according to the version of EQ you have installed.

EDIT - Another reason could be that the filenames are not correct and not being recognized by EQ.  Check the filenames in your directory vs. the ones on Mapfiend to see if they are the same.

Well am using Titanium Rob and it is box standard installed with only the required changes. When I download maps I just put them in Maps folder in the EQ root.

Its working with the custom maps now and not even sure what I did. Maybe I just rebooted and it took hold not really sure. Happened to hit map in LDoN 5 last night and there it was- go figure:)

PORTS - what I had to do to get a couple of my maps to work is I took my EQ folder and put it onto the C drive instead of default installation so it was C:\EverQuest_SoD of course you'r EQ folder is probably not called Everquest_SoD.

I put all my maps in root of EQ and in the map folder... for some reason, some maps works in one or the other... not sure which but heh works for me now

A custom map of LDON 1-6 showing the bosses and what page# they drop would be nice (hint hint).  Even just a drawing...

hey there ez server. aint been on for a while, good to see my map link is still working. Don't know why my maps don't work for some, maybe it's because your using SoD. I know my files have the correct name when you place them in the maps folder, all of them work for me and for others. I'm using the titanium client, and normally i work under wineq 2. Check the filenames from the zip u downloaded and make sure that they are the same size in your everquest/maps folder, i've had trouble copying the maps a couple times when installing this on my friends computers. Hope that helps xD
