Maybe one of you can tell this guy why he is wrong.

I posted it here because of it's flamish nature. It wasn't intended to amuse you.

I have been here for a long time. Hunter has never said that turning in more than one key consecutively to a barrel ups your chance of getting a key. Logistically that makes absolutely no sense at all.

I have done it both ways. If RNG hates you, then it just hates you.
Have had better luck with the bag o' keys into one chest. To each their own.

Yes, people can do it however they wish. The point is that the optimal way would be to turn them in as you get them. Bragh has such deep seated stupidity that he's resorting to lies to reinforce the bad information he is spreading.

Ive had much better luck sitting in the room with 4 or 5 barrels in it and 2 chests and looting barrels and then using them on the same chest.

granted I dont wait til I have saved up keys but I do turn them in to the same chest.  I think that was the main point Bragh was trying to make.  Not necessarily the hoarding of keys.

as for the flamish nature you speak of, he said you aren't that smart, you called him an idiot.  who exactly is the one in the wrong here?

The only reason I don't turn them in as I get them is that I know the chances of getting a book on the 1st or 2nd key are super slim. I would rather collect a bunch of keys and just sit there doing turn ins - feels easier.

My method for 2.5 is work my way to the back boss room collecting keys as I go and just doing the turn ins on 1 chest. I've only 2.5'd 7 toons (3 of which required 2 runs) and with this method, 6 of the 7 toons got their book(s) within 8 or fewer keys all collected on the way back. One of the toons took 38 keys.

There is no right or wrong way to get a book... Just kill get a key and hope for the best.

I do not know the statistics on turning on more than one key at a time, Or the benifits of collecting keys. I have did it both ways and found that the only thing that actually helps is a good mixed drink and a over abundance of time. Either way it is a chore and boreing, so bring along your own amusement and grind it out. (I find this method works for most grinds, UC, AQ,SLS's,FR/CG kits, and plat grinds)

To clarify, I honestly thought I saw Hunter say somewhere that saving keys and all into 1 chest is better. After looking, he didn't that I could find, and I apologize for "resorting to lies." In reality, someone in one of my previous guilds probably said it was better or whatever. I could care less anymore. I have all the 2.5's I'm gonna do so everyone else is free to do it their own way. Good day!  :)

I don't believe you can give more than one key to the same chest.  It's been a while since I did it, but from what I remember the chest respawns when you hand the key to it.

Either way it's doubtful the script has any sort of state that increases the random chance the more keys it has received.  I'd say it's just a flat X% chance each time.

The method I use for handing in the key:

1. Approach chest from an angle
2. Give it 1 key and the chest will turn and face you
3. If you get book - scream with delight
4. If you don't get book - wait till the chest turns away from you
5. Repeat at #2

You can stand at a chest and give key after key. Think those of us who said that's what we do are lying? Hehe.

I didn't say that, what I said is that each time you give the key to the chest it repops so you're giving the next key to a new chest.  I think I remember my target getting cleared each time I handed in the key which would indicate a repop.

It doesn't repop, I was thinking the same thing and went and checked a while back. There is no need to wait till it turns facing default direction though. You can spam them to the same chest and still have the same chance to get your book.

There's a difference between anger and annoyance. But to be honest I didn't expect someone as clueless as you to know the difference without being told.

Just let him be ignorant.. and move on. No reason to get annoyed over something so silly.

But the real way to get a 2.5 is actually get 1 key.. run into an eye 3 times.. port to Nagafens Lair and kill the giant king.. come back to the 2.5 area and give the key to the 16th chest. Works 90% of the time .. everytime.

That little outburst could be enough to get someone banned, I would think...  Just sayin' the server rules prohibit that sort of hateful language.  Unless you were calling him a bundle of sticks, or you're British and think he's a cigarette, then you're being really offensive.

You know what, you are right about there not being rules in R&F, but there are common sense rules that extend everywhere. And though violating those common sense rules might not get you banned they can surely get you a shit reputation. You were right when you came in and made your original post but now you look like a damned idiot cause you don't know when to shut up. If I were you, I would delete this entire thread and hope people forget your name was attached to it.

Are you sure this is how you want to start your time here on EZ? Look over this thread. People started out agreeing with you. Look how many people are taking your side toward the end of the thread. Eqemu is a smaller community, unlike wow emu reputation matters here. You might think your 'cool story' and calling people faggot makes you look cool, but it doesn't.

It doesn't matter if people agree with me about this subject or not, I am right. I may have just made a forum account but I assure you I've been around for a while. I could give two shits about someone preaching to me about etiquette in a rants and flames thread.

I have been around for a little while too. I have seen dozens and dozens of people like you come and go over the years. You fit into the 'oops I thought this was wow' category. Good thing about people like you is you are never here that long. Once you figure out that you can't do shit without some sort of reputation you will move along to some other game or back to wow.

lol, thanks for that blast from the past. 8 years ago is a long time, isn't it? You are SO mad that you took the time to cyber stalk me, I'm flattered and amused. How about pulling up the shit from Solusek Ro when I started playing over a decade ago, or the stuff on Stormhammer when I helped admin the pub forums. Your claim of experience made me chuckle.

I have enough experience to call an idiot when I see an idiot. And I didn't cyber stalk you so don't flatter yourself. It's all on the first page of google under your name and email search. Btw, you said you have been here a while, but you are lvl 51?

You are beyond the point of not caring, now you are just egging them on. Trust me when I tell you, if you stop, they will too.  As soon as it started it can go away.  We do have a very forgiving crowd when you don't ruffle their feathers.
Up to you man, they are only slightly annoyed right now, don't piss em off any more.

You took the time to look at my profile, and then google whatever information you could find about me, and then post the worst thing you could find. That is pretty much the definition of cyber stalking. I stopped playing that character after I did a roa, so yeah he's 51. Anything else you want to dig up and question me about?

One day on the forums and I have my own personal stalker. lol

Title: Re: Epic 2.5 advice.

Googling someone and pulling information off the first page is not called stalking, but you already know that. You have no valid points to make so you are trying your pathetic hand at spinning it.

So if Retnaburn is not your toon that you have "been around for a while" with why don't you do everyone a favor and put your main on here so we know who to avoid.
