Title: Prevent lag when using MQ2 Post by: Sarthin on April 05, 2012, 06:11:22 pm I've seen and heard about a lot of people having stability and lag issues with MQ2. Here is how I fixed that issue on my computer, may it help for you guys too,
I am one of those with a pretty decent computer with x-fire and so forth, but still experienced lag in EQ with MQ2. This is what I did to get a tremendous performance gain. Open Macroquest.ini and remove the following lines, mq2fps=mq2fps mq2clipper=mq2clipper Hope this helps.. Title: Re: Prevent lag when using MQ2 Post by: Felony on April 06, 2012, 06:39:55 am Just get mq2chatfilter plugin and filter all the shit out that spams you.
Its the #1 solver for lag / zone sync for everyone I know. That mq2fps shit might work for some [titanium client hello] but for the general population [sof+ client win] its terrible and worthless. My personal opinion based on my observations. Title: Re: Prevent lag when using MQ2 Post by: Blurring on April 07, 2012, 12:00:17 am MQ2FPS with the proper settings can cut CPU usage literally in half. (Titanium, SoD, UF clients)
Eqplaynice, distributed in Lavish software, is a nice alternative but has produced bugs for me in all clients. Switching off eqplaynice and using MQ2FPS is what I've found to be the most efficient solution.
