First things first.....if you havent spent a while looking over the forums here (guides, stickies, etc) DO SO. The forums will answer 99% of the questions you have, and will save you a TON of heartache! Next, this server is NOTHING like live. Take all the info you acquired live and forget it when you land here. Classes are completely different....even roles for some classes are altered. Reading the forums will help you in this.
If you played on P99, DO NOT use the same client folder to play here. A lot of things wont work properly. When you play EZ server the client should never, ever patch, and P99 files will make your life harder. Make a separate folder for EZ. And in that same vein.....if you are not on SoD or later client, DO SO! Underfoot is best. You'll miss out on a ton using that old POS titanium client, so retire it! You can download SoD and Underfoot at Hatebornes site, which is http://hateborne.dyndns.org/ezserver/clients. If you need the missing files, I collected them here: http://tinyurl.com/eqfiles. Also....I am always asked "Whats the best way to level?" Well, you can read a lot of options in these forums, but IMO you really cant go wrong first time out following the quests in QRG. Fast way to get exp, gear and cash! AGAIN, read the forums!! DAILY!! Check them often, as Hunter will post a bunch of info here, including free ez server credits from time to time, and periodically updated server and spell files! And if ya need advice look up Brickhouse or Chunka in game!
