EZ Server

Some of my spells are still messed up. seems like items form dulak like the legs clicky the mage gloves(chromosphere) and the arms mana pres 4 as well as higher epics are still showing up unknown DB string with some AAs skills.  seems like noone in game can or wants to assist me on how the heck to fix this

Update your spells file, and have you logged into any other EMU servers with the client you're using to play here on EZ?

i have updated with the EZ spell files.  and no i only use this client for EZ

Have you restarted client? Also, how did you extract the spell file?

i logged out and clicked the link on the right and used winrar to extract to desktop and then just moved the underfoot spells_us file.   

then today i decided to delete the whole folder and re do it and now i can't even get it to connect to the server.  so i am not sure what is going on with my laptop now.

i have the steam underfoot client and that is what im using. 

If you have the Steam client, it is possible it has autopatched. Making it 100% useless. If it is a "special" download (>_>   <_<   >_>), do not put it in Program Files. Lerxst2112 pointed this little issue out.

it was working this morning. now its not.  im going to try to re-extract it and then patch sure the eqhost file is correct and try again.

if i have to i will download it a different way and wait again and hope everything goes well

It could also be simply that the login server is being a whore. :-P

Can we get a more descriptive problem instead of "it was working this morning. now its not."?

it just hangs on the screen and says connecting to server and won't go past that point.  I'm running some checks and fixes on my PC then i will re-extract my underfoot folder and see what happens. if we think its an issue with the steam client then i can always try to figure out 7zip and download those 1 files 1 by 1

If you started with the download from Steam then you are missing a bunch of files, and have some that are broken like dbstr_us.txt which will make many spells look broken.

i have read that and TBH i don't understand it. i can't find a download of the files that work so unless someone can help me then im stuck.

plus i'm still having the issue with it not connecting to server

i copied my titanium folder over to my underfoot and didn't override anything just the files i didn't have.  so now if i can get it to let me connect to server i should be ok

I will create an archive of those missing files to host on my site sometime this week.

i think i got ti fixed.  i had the wrong port number.  and the spells seems to be showing up now.  thanks

Posted a file containing every missing file per your link. Most files stolen from Titanium, the ones listed as SoD or above were stolen from...SoD! Let me know if I missed anything.
