Title: RIP Yellowbird (aka Trii, Triisun, Triage, Try, Tryy)
Post by: Akkadius on October 23, 2012, 10:11:35 pm
I never him knew especially well but he was in contact with me periodically but his brother contacted me on AIM today letting me know that he passed away in his sleep and I figured I would let the community of EZ know of the news. I'm not sure how he was of a player but regardless I ask that everyone pay their respect to a man that has served the United States in military efforts and has added his touch to this community.

Please post your thoughts and respects here.

My Prayers are for him and his family. As a fellow Armed Forces member my heart goes out. I wish I knew him more.

Serious? He was still young and had a baby.

On a side note, he hasn't logged into Starcraft 2 for last 5 weeks. We used to play sometimes.

Although I've never really played on EZ Server much, I played a lot of other servers with Yellowbird and for a time he was one of my best "gaming buddies." We both had a lot of stuff come up in our lives and we hadn't talked for awhile. I've been wanting to shoot him a message some time recently but I couldn't find him anywhere, and then I heard this. I feel kind of lousy that I never really got to talk to him in so long.

It's really surprising to me since Yellowbird was ex-Army and I never heard anything about him having any sort of health problems. He was really just beginning a very promising life, which makes this even worse.

I'll miss you, dude.

I too would like to add my condolences,  it is truly sad to hear of his passing.  While I didn't get to know him in real life, we did have several phone conversations and many discussion in vent.  He will be missed.

I met Trii playing on EZserver. I hadn't talked to him in a while, but everything seemed to be going good for him. His passing is an enormous shock to me and he will be greatly missed. He was a good guy and an outstanding friend.

Hunter can you edit the topic of this thread and also put Triisun as an alias for Yellowbird, I forgot that was also his username as well. Like I said I wasn't extremely familiar with him but he did have some conversations with me

What a damn shame to hear about this.  It's always unpleasant to hear of a friend and brother fall, especially under circumstances like this.
You were always my favorite cadence: may you enjoy your bread, sir.

Yellowbird logged onto his Starcraft2 account 3 days ago.

Someone using his account or is he still alive?

Most likely someone using his account unless he had a really good reason to fake his death. You can find obituaries.

Does anyone know how he died? Or know of a way to find out? He looked young and fit and to find out he passed in his sleep.

R.I.P. Yellowbird/TRII, Ill let everyone else know that knew him that also played with him.  He was a great dude.  Apache Pilot ( that's what I remember ).  Sad to see him leave or read about this news, I hardly ever play anymore much less check these boards.  See ya bro!

He helped getting me FG and CG when I first came up in 2010. Nice fellow.

I hope you rest in peace, my friend. I didn't know you as well as I should nor as well I'd liked, but you were all right.

Man the funniest thing I remember about him was from Vent, he used to make us all crack up hysterically (my wife included) when he would talk about what he most wanted to do in life (hint: deaf girl). The voices he would use... So politically incorrect, but so funny.
