Title: Next tier zones Post by: zymral on December 01, 2012, 08:24:40 am I had a thought today could the next tier of armor and epics come from the coldain and the giants? I was thinking you would start out fighting in kael for the armor verses the bosses there then when you have the armor you get a wep from the coldain king to kill the giant king or the statue.
this would start the next phase where you find out the coldain have stolen something from the giants ( princess queen object whatever) to restart the war. You then have to kill coldain to get the .5 armor and attack the keep to get it back for the giants. You could get clues from the turn ins of the armor. Dunno if anyone likes it but i thought it would be a fun walk down memory lane. Especally since the zones are ready bulit for it all hunter would need to do is build the loot tables, change some dialog, and give the guys some ez steroids. Title: Re: Next tier zones Post by: Kushie on December 01, 2012, 01:09:47 pm I love this idea. Velious was one of my favorite expansions. Kael and ToV were the big boy zones way back when. I could get lost in Skyshrine for hours.

Loved faction and armor farming kael. Also loved having to farm all the flags in PoP. Prob my lifelong 2 fav everquest memories. Title: Re: Next tier zones Post by: marxist on December 01, 2012, 03:14:35 pm -1 having nightmares of tov pathing + guilds training back and forth for mobs on live

Yeah.. I would love something with the Coldain and the Giants. I loved those zones and Giants should pack a wallop. I think that would be a great idea for T7... not sure what Hunter and Bash are cooking up for T7.. but having it those zones would be awesome. Just my 2 cents.... Title: Re: Next tier zones Post by: Hunter on December 02, 2012, 05:27:50 pm T7 is lopinghills and you can Google for screenshots of the zone + trash mob graphic/names.
Title: Re: Next tier zones Post by: Fugitive on December 02, 2012, 05:47:39 pm good zone
Title: Re: Next tier zones Post by: Stuff4Sale on December 02, 2012, 06:24:06 pm Loping Plains will be pretty fun. Some camps require some actual pulling. Should be exciting!
Title: Re: Next tier zones Post by: Hunter on December 02, 2012, 06:44:42 pm Our (Silent) GM Basher has repopulated the zone in his own vision with about 500 trash mobs, and other stuff too.
The trash names and races will be the same, but maybe in different locations. And yes, some camps will have to be 'broken in to' and pulling. Might be our most fun and exciting custom tier yet. Title: Re: Next tier zones Post by: Kovou on December 02, 2012, 08:57:01 pm so when should we be ready for this zone?
Title: Re: Next tier zones Post by: Hunter on December 02, 2012, 09:56:17 pm We're about 1/2 done, and I got distracted with other stuff.
Basher is done fully populating the zone, and I have all the items cloned/created for use. Just need to edit stats, create boss triggers and loot list. Hoping Christmas but no promises. Would still like to upgrade our source to new loot system before creating the loot list. For now enjoy other neat stuff I've added recently. I loved trying to break really hard camps of mobs on live.
