Bringing down the server early since I need to do some stuff like back up database, install different perl version, etc. After the server comes up again (probably after regular reboot time) please let me know asap if there are any problems to reduce amount of roll back we'll have to do if any. I plan to go to sleep in a few hours, but if any of the loot drops look wrong then let me know ASAP so that any roll backs would be minimum. I currently have a saved backup just before the source was updated. Everything should be working fine though. Issues I had during the update was the perl npc quest couldn't connect to my custom database / tables, ended up being a user/password/priv thing that a flush resolved, shrug. NPC's that currently use custom logging to tables like that would be the Epic Vendor and Keeper of the Ages. I've tested them and they are now working. Bag of the Tinkerers is tradeable. I know Hateborne has some new updates for spells, will have to wait for next reboot, trying to make sure this updated source works. Keep me posted of anything else that may seem broken or need adjustment. Today is play at your own risk for a roll back, but as long as there are no problems (esp with loot) then there shouldn't be a reason for roll back at this point. CaveDude gave me a new conversion script for the loot system that appears to be a lot better leaving the old probabilities to drop as intended. One mini had one of the pieces for combines and nothing else.

For example if a mob always dropped 5 gems of a list of 10 gems, but now drops 1-5 gems, that would be 1 thing different. Will let the server run its course today and see if we can find a way to fix the loots. So far there doesn't seem to be broken loot that would flood the economy with items. Keep me posted on stuff. I realize some loots are not guaranteed now. Will just have to deal with it and will try figure a fix. I'm still learning the system. After we fix it I might run another double loot for a day to make up for stuff. Title: Re: Source Update Post by: Blurring on December 15, 2012, 10:15:48 am T6 loot seems to be dropping almost perfectly normal. All armor augs dropped as well as standard OMM loot. We did however have 1 or 2 chests along the way that dropped nothing.
Seems to be a server-wide problem with items that have always dropped 100% of the time. In T6 maybe they were dropping 95% of the time, but strangely in other zones the problem is worse. Mononc claimed 8/9 qvic bosses didn't drop an armor pattern. Arkain I believe tested HoH and found avatars occasionally dropping less than 5 gems. I am clearing T5 now to see what kind of discrepancies show up on the bosses. I have seen QRG and Fighter's Guild crash 3 or 4 times now, have no idea what is causing it so far. Title: Re: Source Update Post by: jamey0181 on December 16, 2012, 11:52:32 am had killed shadow 6 or 7 time's last night and yesterday evening seemed that he would drop 5 drops either a charm and 4 gem's or something similar when he would drop 2 charm's say 2 v1 charm's he would only have 3 gem's when he would drop a charm and token would be three gem's out of those kill's 2 was 2 v1 charms 3 gems , 2 of them was 1 v1 charm 1 token and 3 gem's ,and a couple was 1 v2 charm 1 token and 3 gem's and 1 kill was 1 token and 4 gem's but didn't have any spell's and he seemed to drop the book and 5 other random drops but not over that for me
