EZ Server

Hey everyone my girlfriend and I are new to the server. She plays a 55 wizard (matilda) and I play a 55 BL (Simoncat).

I was just wondering about my pet. 1) Does it get any bigger? I know it was a skill on live and the pet buff made him the correct size and lvl... but its spells here. 2) It seems like when I zone my pets buffs don't zone with him. That might be how it is supposed to be for BL pets. I'm not sure.

We are still figuring everything out, but having lots of fun.

We are in dulaks right now. Probably going to stay there untill we get geared out and some AA. I tried fear but not much seemed to drop there. Any advice as to where to go after Dulaks? We like to group, but most of the time no one else does. Any ideas for Duoing and places worth while to go?

Also on live I stopped around PoP and I'm originally from SZ, so im not too up to date about Ldon and all that stuff.

If you have the patience and stick with it, with the T4 buff spell for beastlord (Bashful Crustaceans Hulkamania) then your pet will be truly huge. Your epic 3.0 will be your big pet (epic 4.0's haven't been unlocked yet).

First you may want to consider boxing a cleric for heals, you will need them later on. Beastlords on EZ are a little bit different class. Whereas on live the pet was added dps but you were the main source of dps,  on EZ your pet will out dps you by far. This was done because beastlords are largely broken in emu. I am not sure if beastlords get a 1.0 pet, but if they do it will likely be your best pet. Getting into the casters guild will be a large boon for you because you can use the casters guild pet. Your 1.5 will be your next pet, then your 2.5, and finally your 3.0 pet. The bst pet does more dps than any other pet on the server. Bst also has the best heals for their own pet.

Don't worry about aa's until you are 70. You will get them tons faster at 70 than earlier. Seriously, don't worry about aa's till your 70. As for zones, stick to the custom zone for gear. I would bypass velks because no gear drops there and the mobs have more hp than others compared.

So your saying I should join the casters guild instead of the fighters guild? Thats good because i was going to start the fighters guild quest... I'm not sure what the big differences are though.

I heard about getting a pet from the casters guild. Is it a BL specific pet or just some kind of generic Clicky pet for all classes?

It is not all/all but it is not class specific either. I think it is, bard, bst, sham, necro, druid, mage, enchanter. Your role will change from melee to pet class as you get your epics. I suggest the casters guild because of the pet. The difference between the two is the food, (one is 700hp/70 hp regen and the other is 700mana/70 mana regen) the augs, (20/10 mana/hp base/regen) and the mana stone you get in casters guild. Another big difference is train all casters vs train all melee skills. Inside the guild and npc will set your melee or casters skills to max depending on which guild you are in.

dont forget imo the best reason for the casters guild for a BL is the summon'd fireblades.  just imo though.

Fighter Guild give rez stone that is really usefull.

But since your dmg is done by pet, you should go for Caster. But BL class is the class that can get benefit from Both guild, that why, some BL done both.

Caster Guild for pet with summon fireblade V2 (the only very good think for BL in CG) since you dont use so much mana (the mana stone wont be really usefull and drink with stat is not too). For the caster skill max... that's not so usefull too for BL

Fighter Guild for skill (since you melee), rez stone, augs.

3.0 pet is better one, the second will be 2.5 and the 3rd will be CG ring.

So you will probably need to do both. CG is need for Summon fireblade V2 (you need it for your pet).

Ring pet is just bonus and help you to done 2.0 pages easier, but you can do epic 2.0 withou CG pet and some help or not (you will need help for MoW, CG pet or not).
Once you get it and you get CG or FG you can get 2.5 book really easy. So you will get better pet than CG one.

The problem is you need FG for melee skill and aug (if you use melee), and you need CG for summon blade V2.
