We have zones crashing, maybe a table is corrupt. I'll check everything and get back to you. I don't know why its happening but I can see it in the process list happening.

I didn't find any crashed tables, so I looked in the logs folder and found for zone:

[12.29. - 16:36:44] Starting Log: logs/eqemu_error_zone_2844.log
[12.29. - 16:36:44] Path File ./Maps/airplane.path not found.

damn it I deleted my post, I have tons of those logs and they can be ignored. Just means you do not have the .path file for that zone. Most zones lack path files.

I thought maybe when I added lopingplains to the launcher zones table to make it static that maybe a port conflict or something so I now removed it but no results, still crashes.

Did you do just a server shutdown/restart or did you reboot the machine hosting the server.

Ending up rebooting the whole machine. Might do it again for lack of better ideas.

Seems to be up and running now, will let rest of the zones finish loading, then I'll unlock the world.

lopingplains is dynamic for now, public is not static.

If all goes well today, then I'll make it static tomorrow.

I don't know if that was the issue, but it was one of the few changes I made today so..

Figured there would be more ppl in TS.

Secrets helped me to figure out it was a qglobal with null name, so some where in my quest code is setting a global with no name, need to find out where and why.

At least I've narrowed it down, and I know 1 of 2 spot that I recently added qglobals in code.

We should be up soon.

Ahh yeah that can suck. Why I run script through perl to catch common mistakes.

Title: Re: Hiccup?
Post by: Hunter on December 29, 2012, 05:42:01 pm
We're 99% sure we found it.

I did a setglobal with a $variable_name that was null and therefore created a qglobal in the table with a null value in name field, which crashes the zone.

We should be up in next 20-30 min.

I made lopingplains static again before booting up since we know that wasn't the problem. Soon as that zone boots up I'll zone in it to test. I don't want to make instance of it from dynamic zones, rather wait for the static. Then when all zones are loaded, I'll #unlock here in a few minutes.
