Title: New weapon Delay / DPS parses!

Making this to see how DPS is doing after the changes! So far I noticed the changes are much better on lag which is a good thing!

Some classes see dps loss in some areas but big DPS increases in other areas when paired with a certain class!

I've only done a few so far.. but please post your own parses so we can all compare!

Make sure to list these components!
  • Augments
  • Epic level
  • Buffs / Debuffs used
  • Spells used (for casters)
  • Charm used

Please do NOT post old parses from before the changes! - This is meant to give an idea how each class is holding up!

Currently debuffing NPCs seems to be a large DPS increase! So it is WELL worth your time to use!

Kraken will lower a monks DPS with the current attack speed if you are using 6.0s or LOWER (w/ rank 8s)

Gotta wait till 7.0s to use Kraken it looks like otherwise you hit the proc limit and start missing out on your Ninjastrike 8s. Which then you will lose DPS overall.

But currently Halloween weapons are the best bet ... Will test 7.0s once I finish two for the monk!

Any parsing done since the DPS changes should be taken with a big grain of salt when doing short parses.  Due the weapon delays and big damage, the parsing time will have to be much longer to get an accurate number.  The possibility of having a few good rounds can drastically effect the numbers on short parses.   It probably needs to be 30-60 minutes to get a reliable number.

I agree and only posted what my average length of combat is when doing T6 trash or anything T5 and below.
Serious number crunching requires parses of length to account of RNG and dumb luck.

When i parse i do 3 30 min parses and combine them to almost eliminate rng doing its own thing

Yes with strike 8s you have a possible 6 different procs 3 in each weapon.

Max proc limit per combat round seems to be 4. So a proc will be pushed off if a kraken lands.


Strike 8 procs > kraken --- so when a strike is replaced you lose dps.

My SK is landing 6 procs every round. 3 x FS5, epic lifetap, kraken, shroud of discord

We sure about a proc limit? Like I said before, my SK is landing 6 procs every round. 3 x FS5, epic lifetap, kraken, shroud of discord. This is with sword and board.

I've looked at that code a lot, and I see no limit.  Every possible proc can fire every round.  There can be a proc on the weapon, a proc on each aug, and up to 4 additional procs added by SE_AddMeleeProc or SE_WeaponProc.  The only limit is the 4 slots for spell based procs like Kraken.  If there are already 4 spell procs on someone then any additional attempts to add them fail.

Good to know. So the only way someone should hit a limit is if they are using more than 4 spell based procs. I dont think thats even possible right now? Would have to be Kraken, Tempest, and 3 more...

The code is pretty straightforward, but procs are random.  Just because they can all fire in one round does not mean they ever will.

The cure component is a DEFENSIVE proc. It has no effect on the combat rounds as it procs from BEING struck, not striking.

Not like it matters to anyone but I finally got around to afk'ing for awhile on the practice dummy.
No buffs at all, afk attacking 7.0 IS9 x2.
Gamparse dies when I try to copy it, some shit about how Int32 values suck.

Brokyn asked if I would do another parse this time using Custom T7 weapons. 1hs main hand 1hp off hand.
Same as last time. No buffs, no songs, no help, just pure afk beat the snot out of the dummy. I was killed by a moss snake near the end!
I stopped the parse at about 1hr otherwise gamparse whines about value exceeding limit.
