Halloween Pets (CT, SM, IG) icons updated. A new "AFK Quest" was been created, inspired by Progress Quest game. Right now can test the new quest in bazaar by typing /say menu The longer you afk in there, the higher level you get. Will make it more dynamic later with more items, more mobs, add spells, etc. Right now just in concept phase. Should be fun for anyone running a bazaar merchant anyways :) Edit: Added variety of copper, silver, gold coins to loot, and saves to character now. Added over 30,000 items that are 'looted' in the AFK quest, should make things more interesting. Eventually I'll have them put in a list, and you'll be able to /say list or /say inv to see what items you've looted. Later script will automatically sell items to merchant when bags are full, and convert the coins to platinum. Edit: You can now /say inv to see the items your AFK Quest has. After 20 items they automatically get sold (for free currently). Added leader boards to the menu, just /say leaderboards in Bazaar to see who is highest level! Important This is just testing phase right now, when its more complete then will wipe everyones levels and start over. Right now its on higher exp rate for testing purposes. Thatll depend on the rewards.. 1 extra box won't hurt most people if it means getting a reward. I hope the rewards stay very very meaningless, I really don't want to AFK an alt just to have an advantage. Title: Re: Update 12-10-13 Post by: Hunter on December 11, 2013, 05:25:01 am AFK Quest had a big update to items, stats, hp, mana, etc, so I needed to wipe everyones char so you can make a new one with new base stats etc.
You now start with random base stats that go up each time you level. Items actually sell for money now too. The HP Bar goes up and down based on taking damage, and regen. You'll notice you lose less HP than you get hit for, this is cause every round also calculates regen, so if you get hit for 10 damage and regen 2 all in the same round, then your HP goes down only 8. Hope that makes sense. Regen currently set to 3% HP per round. If you die, then someone will resurrect you, and combat will be off. Haven't decided consequences for dying yet, maybe no rez? Will continue combat after you die/rez, instead of stopping combat. Will now save only ever 10 minutes. This affects leaderboards. Also saves if you leave zone. Deleting character now stops combat. Can no longer enter combat if already engaged in combat. Base stats when you create a character depend on your race and class. Stat increase when you level up depend on your race and class. 3,000 monster names added. Target HP bar added. Critical hits added based on DEX stat. A Halfling Ranger will increase DEX faster than other class/race combo, and then start to critical hit a lot. AC added based on level. Encumberance now based on STR. Other stat stuff will be added later, like increase chance to avoid getting hit based on AC/AGI, hit for more damage based on STR, etc. Spell casting and equipping items are not added yet, but it is planned. Increased auto save from 10 min to every 20 minutes (to reduce any lag). Leave the zone (by zoning, not quitting) will instantly save your character too. Adjusted mob/player damage. Adjusted exp gained. Every hour has 10% chance to get 50% Exp Potion summoned to your cursor. Hitting and missing mobs affect endurance bar. All 4 types of coins affect weight in encumberence now. Interesting race/class combo would be Ogre/Wizard that has lot of HP and nukes for high damage. Each "plus sign" is about -/+ 5% to the accuracy or crit chances modify base chance. Halfling Monk very accurate and crits, lol to watch the crit spam. Nukes are about 3x dmg of melee, but you don't nuke every round and you can run out of mana. Rogue Backstab does 5x dmg of melee. Shadowknight does big Harm Touch. Healing requires mana too and will heal if your under certain hp % and over certain mana % Sort of reminds me playing MajorMUD a texted based online game. An Ogre would have a LOT of STR/STA while a Halfling would have lower than average STR/STA. Monks and Rogues have more AGI/DEX, etc. Which race/class combo would you choose? If you run the quest, try to do it in an instance or one of those two zones besides bazaar. Make a Dark Elf, Halfling, or Gnome combined with a Ranger, Monk, Rogue, or Beastlord and LOL at all the crits cause of their race/class adding to chance to crit! Lots of rounds 1-shot mobs from full health, very entertaining :) Still 10% chance once per hour to get exp bonus potion while doing this AFK Quest in any of those 3 zones currently. |
