Title: EQNext Post by: Anuli on December 12, 2013, 11:15:44 am Anyone else thinking about paying the $99 or even the $69 for alpha testing Everquest Next? and on a side note, anyone have an Oculus Rift that will possibly be testing EQN with it? I know I will be.

I know I will be. Nope. I'm still skeptical. It looks/sounds a lot like Diablo 3 without the top down view. I am cautiously optimistic. -Hate Title: Re: EQNext Post by: Rageful on December 12, 2013, 11:46:21 am Pretty sure you're mistaking that alpha for EQNext Landmark. They are 2 different things.
Title: Re: EQNext Post by: Anuli on December 12, 2013, 12:08:33 pm Yes I appologize, I am referring to Landmark. I'm optimistic that they will include rift support. Without that, it's just another mmo with a different title.

Heh I hardly consider it another cliche without supporting a niche market. :-) -Hate Title: Re: EQNext Post by: Chunka on December 12, 2013, 01:55:54 pm Wife and I have already purchased our founders packs. I plan to give it a workout, see what they make of it. With the people they have working on this, the resources Sony has dedicated to it, and the concepts they claim they are using.....I think it's gonna be very interesting. We'll see. Either way pretty cheap entertainment, all said.

I watched their live broadcast and a few other videos on their channel. looks well worth the investment.
Title: Re: EQNext Post by: Tankdan on December 15, 2013, 07:32:52 pm I don't want to support SOE till I know the game is good. I am VERY skeptical because they are shady as hell in the F2P market. I was worried about the restrictions they'd be putting in, then when I found they're selling keys to access beta/alpha I knew I was right all along.. EQN/EQNL will be very cool IF you dish out the dough. The games will be restrictions galore, also known as "Free To Log In," and hoping to God they look at EQ2 and do the opposite of everything. Planetside 2 market model is promising though, but its SOE, not the best track record.
