Title: ToFS Revisited Floor 7 in particular.
Post by: Dinadas on February 25, 2014, 07:14:32 am
I'm late to the party, but just arrived on floor 7.

My army currently is all level 75.

Warrior, UC2, UW7, 7.0
Monk, UC2, 6.0's, All level 8 augs
Ranger, UC2, 6.0's, 2 NS8's
Zerker, UC2, 6.0, random augs
Zerker, UC1, 6.0, random augs
Pal, Uc1, 6.0, random augs
Pal, UC1, 6.0, no augs
Bard, UC1, 6.0, 2 NS V augs
SHm, UC1, 6.0, no augs

Mage, 50sorc, 6.0, no augs, ornate pet weapons
Enchanter, 35 sorc, 6.0, no augs, ornate
Druid, 50 heal, 6.0, no augs

3 non UC1, are almost done.

No resists less then 1500 on anyone, still upping some of the stranglers.

I need to farm floor 7, for UW progression.  I am not sure I can even kill the Advisor yet, but the mechanics for Tserrina are silly.

As is, the fight takes 25-30 minutes, mostly due to the stonewall.

She resists all spells(primary dps of the server) which is fine, but then further mitigating white damage(which is mitigated by design) just makes the fight tediously long.  It would probably take my army, 5 minutes otherwise.

The kick in the pants is as you sit there, there is really nothing I could go out and farm to make it faster.  I can't get more UC2's or augs(spell damage is moot on this particular fight), and white damage increases over the next few tiers of epics is marginal at best I believe.  This makes this particular experience frustrating as all hell, it would be one thing if I could improve myself and make it go faster, but for reasons already stated there is not much in my control about this fight.

My suggestions either keep spell mitigation there and eliminate SW completely, since it adds nothing to the difficulty of the encounter.

Or keep stonewall, even making it longer/permanent, and eliminate the spell mitigation.  Allowing augs, charms, etc to be improved to make the fighter faster.

Mitigating all types of damage for 25 minutes, just makes it tedious.

I'm not against farming, I actually find clearing zones to be tremendously more fun then this particular camp.

I thought my feedback might be useful, simply because I am at the point progression wise where this fits in without being totally overgeared(which I am not sure would matter much in regards to this particular encounter)

Scarecrow curse makes this fight much, much shorter.

I have to check their banks, no summon banker clicky.

But again a Halloween item makes it tolerable, not something you can go out and acquire if you missed it for awhile.

Is there nothing else besides Scarecrow curse?

there is a reward clicky debuff, have not tried it on tserinna.  but the Halloween scarecrow curse is buy-able from EZ-Vendor for not a terrible amount 20? i think.
And yes, it really does take the fight time down considerably.

Thanks to Nyzin/Wargod for this...

It seems that the bard song Harmonious Composition II does the same thing as the Halloween Curse to remove Tserinna's Stonewall.

So save $20, and make a bard :)

It's just HCII? Not HCIII as well?
