I have like a 10% drop rate or less of these ores now, I never even used to see them not drop. Is this a bug or RNG?

I did one the other day. 100% drop rate on everyone but Fippy. Fippy I got on try number 5.

IDk, im on 16 pained unicorn kills and not even getting a copper. Corpse is just poofing over and over.

Never had any of the bosses not drop an ore. Is this something new?

Was new to me.. I actually looted something that looked like ore the first time around from Fippy and had to go back to farm after the combine failed.

I did my LI upgrade on SOA. Took 5 Fippy to get the ore. That was 4 days ago.
I logged in an tried him again... see below

I did the quest yesterday and day before and was 20/20 on ore.  /shrug

Ahhh! I bet he's counting real Fippy and custom Fippy!

There are 2 Fippy. One is 70+ and DT's, the other dies in one hit, is in his teens, and hits like the old puppet in the Direct TV commercials.

I'll leave it to you to guess which drops the ore :D

The floppy in pic took 2 mins to kill with 4.0 pet and dots. Pretty sure he was custom. I have done eon as much as most of you... I am telling you that the op statement has merit is all.

In response to above... I may have counted both, they both die with uw instantly it seems.. But the test with my camp necro came up on custom with pelts

He Should be DTing rather frequently .. so I doubt you killed the correct Fip

Maybe.. Was not paying attention to spells.. Would the td kill a 4.0 pet? You may be right

But I would think the original would have less hp than this guy... He musta had over a million easy.

Just spent a few days doing this. There is a lvl 73 Fippy and he is not the one that drops the ore. The one you want is blue to a lvl 73 and DT's.

Actually lol, not sure if it's lvl 73. I just know target ring is either white or grey but iirc it's white and still takes a few hits to kill.

Gray. That version of Fippy is the live version.....he's level 7 iirc.

He was gray to me too still DT'ed tho and dropped the ore

Should be light blue, not gray. Some screens they look similar

And I think he's 70 now, not 73.

Fwiw, I just went through EoN (for the 14th time) and got every ore on the first shot. Although I did have problems with a few being under the world.
