EZ Server

Could the UW be enabled in OT again?   In it's current state is not the overpowering weapon that it once was.    Anyone with a spell to cast or ninja to proc can kill someone with a UW as fast as someone without.   It used to be way overpowering with both the hps and the resists (perhaps mainly the resists).    Now in OT resists are irrelevant as we are all set to 0 (advantage casters and ninja).


Also, would it be possible to ban the halloween DT from OT?   That is an insta kill for whoever may have it. 

As far as I am concerned, the whole concept of pvp on EZ is fucked and could be thrown completely out, it's stupid that the only way to farm credits is doing something most people who play here could give two shits about.  If you want to make it possible to farm credits, make some sort of content to do it and not some lame timer based shit people set their clocks to load up and farm.  Pvp all you want, but nobody does it for the thrill of EZ pvp unless you are doing 60 pvp because at least that isn't a guaranteed drop.

That being said, DT has a long reset timer and Hunter knew it was an auto kill item so I don't see the point of suddenly nerfing it after people have been using it since the release of OT. As far as UW weapons being allowed... why ask for it if it offers no discernible advantage?  I beg to differ that it doesn't just based off the fact that tanks have access to far more white dmg mitigation than other classes.

The question to allow UW may be focused on the fact that those are usually the main toons with all of the reward items, SOA, ROA, Earring, etc. So while the UW itself may not be a huge advantage.. though it still is imho, the toon would also have a number of other advantages.

We should be able to use the gear that we farmed for.   I have UWX on my ranger, I have to switch it out whenever I see the GC spam.   I farmed the heck out of the game to get that.   Others that sat their low level toon in earth and got the DT get to use that but the gear I farmed for is disallowed?   I call shenanigans!   The UW is no longer OP in OT.    Resists are set to 0 so the resist bonus is irrelevant.   Since resists are set to 0 Ninja proc and spells pretty much always hit.    There is no distinct advantage from having UW.    In my case it would add more melee dps as my offhand is not augged, but I would not be killing anyone with it. 

The DT item does not qualify for farmed gear.   Peeps could just sit in the earth zone and get phat loots from the unicorn (regardless of level).    Sure the DT item has a long CD but GC is on an 8 hour timer so pretty much certain it will be up.   

The 8 hour timer is a bit bunk too.   Peeps camping it is lame.  I'm too busy in T9 dealing with trying to get the HG to camp it.  Set it to randomly spawn throughout the day.

I've donated to the server so what?   Do you think servers just run magically on magic socialist dollars?   Maybe in your progressive porn watching world but not in the real world son.  Yes I have my degree, make money, and enjoy spending money on my hobbies, again so what?      In addition I've debugged code, fixed spells (fixed the T8 aoe yeah), and have done other things for Hunter.     I've not donated since last year and may not again cause pay pal can suck it, so /shrug.

That being said, I farmed my UWX for my ranger.   I've not bought 1 single essence with creds.  Also UWX on 2 wars and UWIV on gimp SK.    7 UC3s, EOA 33, RoA 1000, RoA 500 on most of my 18 toons.  

Did your 500% xp item magically appear?   You donated either time or money for that too.

What is the uproar for an EQ/EZ PVP zone?  EQ PVP never worked, so EZ PVP will never work....  I love the fact that Hunter added this zone which really can never be balanced....  I read this and remember Hunter's stories about grieving players in other games and wonder if OT isn't his way to chuckle at us all.............

agreed.    The original post, prior to being sidetracked by the rage troll squad, was simply asking to allow UW in the zone.     Would not change current balance at all.

I'd love to see a monster missions/control implemented in whatever the top tier is at the time. That way you guys can grief each other all you like in those zones :)

I played on a PVP server Rallos Zek on live for 6 years.... I have done as much eq pvp as anyone here i would say...


EQ pvp is totally borked....

Well said and good points.    I don't camp out in OT and may be just lazy, having to switch out uw to bounce to OT is tediuos.    In addition, farming more T9 essence to aug out a spare offhand makes me QQ.

Regardless of balance, it is certainly fun.

I would like to second the idea of making GC on a random spawn. Every time I see GC spawn, it is followed immediately with 'Deamontoon01 has attacked Gem Collector'.

That or just remove GC as you are basically feeding 2-3 ubers and there is little to no chance of anyone below T7 getting a chance at GC.

He is clearly camping it. So what you do, is you stalk him. You go into the zone when GC is not up. you kill Demon. You log out. 40 mins later rinse repeat.

I never asked to dumb down the GC. I asked to random spawn it so that the same people are not just sitting there camping it every time.

Everyone is capable of getting GC. I got the GC the other say on my T5 geared monk. I also have no problem getting to T9 and getting the gear so I can come kick your ass and get the GC. . . but I would still prefer it to be a random spawn.

Hi, Semi old thread, and a peign thread on top of that, just wanted to say I am faceshooter, anyone that wants to pvp me for any reason any time, Id love to pwn you. I like the system the way it is, because, I always win. And I like that.

But some of the ideas here that ive read seem to be good ones. Ive farmed up GC for long enough. Giving others a chance at being able to do GC, without me (and sometimes a buddy) sitting there waitin on GC to spawn sounds fair, that being said, if i start losing alot because of new changes, I wont like them, and Ill want them back or ill throw a tantrum.

There for awhile we had some GREAT 2 on 2s and 3 on 3s running in on GC spawn and it was a rough fight and tons of fun, wish we could have more of that than people just saying well hey he timed the spawn and always wins (its 8 hours btw you can also time it, and have a crew of 4 or 5 show up just to show me whos boss) but yeah, im open a random spawn change that sounds alot more fair than some of the other ideas ive read about in the past.

I am having repeated semi random Mq2 crashes in t5...


I Have never really had a problem with mq2 crashing but as of the last 5 or 6 days when I have been farming t5 hard for UW essence I have had to reduce my crew down (QQ on lost xpz) to just 1 group and even then they are crashing out..95% of the time its swimming from coral to coral clearing...so it must be something with the /stick/follow command and the up down left right craziness of underwater...

Being t8 and just back flagging its not a huge deal and the toons are basically just absorbing the xpz  but ...if I was clearing for the first time this would be bad.

Side note..its always my stick figure toons...never my main toon...hence the reason i think it has something to do with the follow or stick command.
