Title: COH and the new pet kill from distance

Well, I just logged in and had a nice uber buffed pet. I killed a mob and then another but got COH'd while hitting another and I guess the new code killed my pet.

Is there any way to overcome this with COH? It would be nice as it does not appear to anything other than honest mistakes.

so on the fluke that you got COH when attacking he should change the server code?


just summon a new pet and move on!

While I agree it is relatively minor, asking to fix something that appears to be created by a change, is worthwhile.

If the fix is intensive or can't be done, by all means, suck it up and summon a new one.

Has this happened more than once to you? Has anyone else experienced it? You hit a mob and then another... COH=summoned? So you killed a mob, the pet went for a mob that was > 400 units, code killed pet, and mob summoned you?

Where is the issue? The code is expected to handle pet if over 400 units

So does the pet poof if you summon your team across a map? That would be an issue.

I could look into forcing pet to drop combat and "summon with caster", but if you pulled something and got summoned...that's not a code failing. ;-)

I was just soloing in TOFS and ported from level 1 to level 2 while pet was not in combat or attacking anything.  Pet died when I was ported to level 2...

Ok, with reboot, the range check will stop it's pulses when the npc is not in combat. Hopefully this will help alleviate the issue(s). :-)

Except Goner was the pet I summoned after the first one disappeared.  Jebanab was the piece of shit that abandoned me.
