Title: RoF UI keeps resetting buttons and such Post by: Premador on May 04, 2015, 10:33:15 am I'm trying to get all moved over to the RoF client. Problem is my UI always ends up bunged up. I'm using the Sars UI and I'll get everything set up, chat windows, buttons n such. I'll camp out, but when I sign back in my buttons have all reverted, my clickies are not in my hotbuttons anymore, my extended target window is nowhere to be found. I've scanned my folders and made sure they are not read only. Not sure what else I'm missing?

This article (http://www.eqinterface.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20369) suggests that deleting your UI file (e.g. UI_Darpey.ini) might allow it to save, once it re-creates a default one. Title: Re: RoF UI keeps resetting buttons and such Post by: Premador on May 05, 2015, 09:47:59 am Tried deleting UI file, then when I reboot I setup new UI and camp out. Log back in and I get an error No UI file. So for whatever reason its not updating my UI or recreating one. Strange. I may have to just do a fresh install
Title: Re: RoF UI keeps resetting buttons and such Post by: Darpey on May 05, 2015, 09:51:52 am Very odd to get "error no ui"... it ought to just create a new one... same as if you create a new character, which wouldn't have its own ui.
It sure sounds like a permissions thing. Sometimes being "administrator" is hidden behind some stupid settings somewhere. IDK |
